looking for a review of this tractor work lamp

it has a 4.5 inch reflector which has good potential for modding. i wonder what emitter it has. it is in the lumen range of xhp50 at 1800 lumen.

It says Cree COB so for sure not a XHP one
If its COB you cant use the driver for a XHP70

For 12V tractor light you can use a good buck converter for a 6V LED
For 24V use a 12V XHP

if i changed the internal driver to a xhp50 driver to run from 2 seriesed 18650 would it match?

With xhp 50 this will throw a lot more
I would get a XHP70 6V on DTP star running at 5A

I was browsing KD last night, that reflector looks like one I saw on many hand lamp/lantern style lights. Mcpb stuck to the reflector when purchased from their supplier kind of deal but not sure. They had a lip around the outside edge at the widest part of the reflector

i doubt it. i opened a different work lamp and the mcpcb is screwed to the heatsink. if it was attached to the reflector there would be no need for a heatsink. the lamp is a bit pricy for me however so i wont buy at this time.

these lights are advertised as led cannon, ranging from 3.5 to 9 inch in size. strange i never saw them until now, allegedly they’ve been for sale since 2013

What is your budget for this need? You can look into amazon or ebay. Maybe, price will be better with some reviews there.

actually aliexpress is the cheapest because of the number of clones there. I wanted something under 20 euro to play around with but the money is not burning a hole in my pocket at the moment.
