I have a mint RaidFire Spear in my meager collection, and am wondering if it is worthwhile to try and mod it (by me or someone else) to something more powerful than its 250 lumens (w/o damaging it). Fyi, I have never done any mod work. Thoughts and ideas?

Looks to me like it’s easily moddable. It would just take some parts from mtnelectronics and a couple solder joints. I would put a XPL HI and FET driver in there. That would make it ~1300 lumens and a nice amount of throw.
Good looking light, I would mod the hell out of it!
i got 4 of them many years ago from CPF and i still love the unique design.
The body can handle heat very well and robust build

Definitely! By all means! I mean, no forget it and send it to me as I like junky has beens. it looks like it could easily take an XPL-hi and an FET+1.
