This is the Upgraded version of the original TC10. They added to this newer model V2 …….
The normal micro USB charging port , The upgraded steel side switch , The improved UI for easier operation , Improved silicone cap for the charging port , with better fitment and will not break off as easily.
There is also the included pocket clip and the tactical or “cigar grip” ring.

The finish was near flawless when I pulled this sample from the package , as I was unable to find any nicks or scratches in the anodizing anywhere. The knurling is well cut , as are the threads on the tail end of the tube. When unscrewing the tailcap I could not help but notice how buttery smooth the threads were on the sample I received.
The lens is a very clear AR coated glass lens , the light DOES have reverse polarity protection and LVP both.
The tail switch acts as a momentary on , or to turn the light on and off. Once the tail switch is in the “ON” position the side switch is used to go through the modes of Firefly, Low , Medium , High and a long press to activate the hidden Strobe (if desired) a quick single click puts the light back into the last mode you were in before you go to the strobe. The light does have also regular mode memory and comes back on in whatever mode you are using when the light is turned off with the tail switch.

Even though not a large reflector , With the smooth reflector design in this light , it does a good job on throwing the light out there a good ways. I can easily see larger objects at 200 to 250 yards and there is a decent amount of useable spill to go along with the throw.
There are no distinct rings or artifacts in normal use of the light outdoors and I really didnt notice any even when white wall hunting at close range. The beam is actually a nice smooth beam when using the light normally , with the Hotspot , a slight corona area and then the spill area of decent size.
This light is also USB rechargeable , or the cell can be removed and placed in a traditonal charger if you prefer.

Although everything is glued together on this light (as are most of the ThruNite products)
I feel the quality of the light is very good and the overall fit and finish also very good.

I do have strap wrenches on my wish list , so I can try to take some of these samples apart without destroying the finish on them , in time I may go back and tear down a few of the lights I cannot open right now.

For those who do not wish to watch the entire video , the Still shots of the light and the still beamshots (compared with a Thorfire VG10) start at 7:22 in the timeline of the video and the outside shining comparison with the VG10 and a Thrunite TC12 V2 start at 11:34 of the timeline in the video.
As always I will mention the beamshot stills are much more true to what my eyes see than my cheap video camera is.

Nice review, looks to be a well made, rugged light! Really love the Thrunite knurling! Thrunite IMHO seems to have the best knurling of any manufacture I have seen and handled by far, not overly aggressive and not just a faint visual pattern like most, totally useless! :person_facepalming:

Good job robo!

Thanks KB.
I agree the TN knurling is some very well made knurling also and I do like the feel of it myself.
