Condensation

I recently used my 504b with T6 drop-in under heavy rain and it works great.

After that i decided to grease the thread of the body.

Now after some minutes on high the body become warm (as usual) and there is condensation inside the lens. I cleaned it but the problem is not solved.

In your opinion is some water or too much grease or other?

Thanks

The dome on LEDs is highly absorbent, and will pull moisture right out of the air.
When turned on, the dome heats up, shedding the moisture onto your lens.

Must be some water in there. Take it apart and let it dry out for a couple of days. Also you never want to use too much grease. The less the better.

thats happened to me a couple of times with long runs and fridge test,s whipe the grease off remove the glass and gun it on high for a bit normaly clears it up

Thanks everyone. I'll try and i'll let you know.

If there is any sort of grease or water near the LED it will evaporate and condensation will form on the Lens.

Do not use too much grease the oil can burn off and coat the reflector and Lens.

Silica gel bag? If there is space inside?

Lennart

edit; since I think it is dampness and not oil fumes.

The grease is probably preventing moisture from escaping. De-grease, take apart and let it dry out for a day or 2. If you got some silica gel packs (they come in dry goods), throw a few inside a ziplock with the parts and it should dry in a day.

Good luck.
