Good question.I have never heard of them or seen them until now!
My guess is that they are Fake/Phony.I am sure we will eventually find out!
P.S. It doesn’t say anywhere that it’s Panasonic or NCR26650A. It seems it only has the appearance of a Panasonic cell…

Did Panasonic even make a 26650?? I could be wrong but I never heard of a Panasonic 26650.
I know HKJ never tested one.None on his comparator.
Those are jusy so-so fakes, prolly someone “branded ” them Panasonic just for the brand, i guess its just a soshine or something else cell inside
As far as I know, Panasonic doesn’t make 26650’s. I’d bet they’re fake.

It is already discussed in chinese forums. Jaxman admitted that they are fake Panasonic cells.
Well we should know for sure how good (or bad they are) in the not to distant future as HKJ ordered 2 of these cells this morning

Well I asked if he knows what cells are actual used and their actual capacity.
I often see those in pictures of chargers etc.
But if they’re only 5000mAh they’re not really interesting…
Somebody is good to notice stuff. I saw this discussion and decided to order some.
The test is probably more than a month away.
The issue about being low on batteries are not over yet, but I have got batteries from one supplier and another one has promised to send some batteries. I hope to get more of the silly batteries tested in between.

Jaxman is not the only one. Take a look at Newegg. But I’ve also seen these cell’s on Amazon.
Never on a site officially linked to Panasonic, however.
