Ganzo G722 owners

Today I pulled my 722 out of the drawer for the first time after about 8 months and I noticed that the detent is actually quite weak. I don’t remember it that way but I could be wrong. So now I am wondering, how is yours?

Come on, really, nobody!?

If you don’t remember it that way…then snick snick…I’ve done some crazy things after a session of imbibing meself.

All kidding aside, someone could have put the “fingers” to it while you were away…??

Poorly tempered spring steel could be the culprit.

Hmmm - I don’t know……

But your post has shown me that I don’t have a Ganzo G722.

That is being rectified, with a few Gearbest points, as one is now being shipped to my sweaty palms in the UK for a shade under $10…….

What exactly is wrong w/ the detent?

I can shake mine open (heavy blade) but I wouldn’t call its detent weak.

Well, I just realized that I can flick the knife open very easily and I didn’t remember being able to do that the last time I used the knife. But it is very possible that I just didn’t realize how weak the detent is.
So I was wondering if other owners have made a similar observation regarding the strength of the detent.

@Streamer, good thoughts but I can eliminate handling under the influence as possible cause

@scrumpypaul, glad to be your enabler in this case, it is still a great knife, detent or not! And what a bargain! :+1:
