So I picked up my first Convoy light, an S2+. This thing knocks it out of the park on the performance/quality to price ratio. The threads are nicely cut, the anodizing is well done and the light is just solid. The XM-L2 emitter is perfectly centered and puts out 940 lumens with the 7135 x 6 driver. For under $15 delivered, everyone should own one. Great job Convoy!

Yes, it is unbelievable how good value the S2+ is!
I’m so much spoilt that I want more than that, but for actual use an S2+ would cover 95% of all my needs and being tough as nails it would last forever.

You remind me of when I first got my C8 (7135x8 4C), to my shame the only Convoy I own right this moment. Now I have on mail a classic S2 (4C 7135x3), and a Biscotti M1 (7A 7135x8). Paid for both the price I’d spend on a single premium like, say, a Thrunite.
The first Convoy is just the start, son. 
I don’t think 2.1 amps will get 940 lumen from an xml2. Maybe closer to 800 lumen. Now the 7135x8 at 2.8 amps might give you 940.
I had a hard time getting used to the UI of my S2+. I replaced it with a Qlite driver with guppydrv. That was a big upgrade in usability.
I believe Simon can/will flash the new Biscotti firmware on an S2+ for $1 extra if you request it. Now that’s a real bargain. 
Oh yes. Biscotti turns a rather mediocre UI into a fantastic UI for the S2+. Currently using mode group 2 with memory. Best $1 I’ve ever spent.
does it really put out close to 940 lumens in that small host? i find that hard to believe.

Next you have to have the blue one and the red one and the green one and there’s a gunmetal grey one I think. Then 6*7135 isn’t right for everything so one or more of those in 8*7135 and say, 4*7135.
Seriously, Convoy are remarkably good value for what they are in terms of build quality and performance.

I have modded S2’s making over 3800 lumens. I have not quite been able to crack 4k yet in a tube light but I will someday.

I wish all flashlight companies let you buy replacement parts like Convoy and Eagle Eye. This is why I give them so much business.
