Can someone measure a S41 lens for me?

Was taking the bezel off my S41 when the glass lens (not the TIR) fell out, landed on the floor and rolled away to who knows where. I searched and searched, swept the entire floor, and can’t seem to find it.

If someone could do me a big favor and measure the diameter and thickness so I can order a new one, sure would appreciate it. I have the early S41 when they first came out. The latter lights had the head re-machined and not sure the lens is the same.

I got one of the early S41 and the lens measures 23,7mm diameter and 1,1mm thick

Great, thank you!

I have the new version s41ss.

But i bet that the moment you order a new lens you will stumble on your missing one :stuck_out_tongue:

Just wanted to let you folks know that I contacted Banggood about getting a replacement lens. I told them I broke it and would pay for it. I just got a notice of shipment. $0 for the lens and $0 for shipping.

Kudos to BG for their customer service :+1:

Haha, or I will hear it grinding up in the vacuum cleaner one day :open_mouth:

try laying you head cheek flat on the floor, light out, shining a small weak light around flat on the floor too? you should catch a glint of lens, or, the edge will look funny… (i have lost little gun parts before, yeah, found the part 2 weeks after i replaced the part after ordering it special)

shrugs you have to take things apart in a plastic bag if you wanna guarantee you dont lose spring loaded stuff. lol…

i like to spread out a tablecloth or sheet to take things apart… all the parts are “there” if you have any problems…

I’ve searched the floor like that with and without a flashlight. Even got my kids to crawl around. Took a lens from another light and sat it on the floor just to see what it would look like. Nothing

I know what you mean by small parts. Auto mechanics call them “Jesus clips”. You’re taking apart and removing a circle clip or spring, when it goes “ping” flying across the shop floor. First thing you say is “Jesus”

Most the time my Convoy UV without a filter so there’s other light mixed in with the UV helps me find what I’ve dropped into the carpet,
Works so good in fact it finds all sorts of things and will show you things you didn’t even want to find, least of all know about, but works for lens especially AR’s, screws,

Well, Banggood was kind enough to send a lens, but they sent the TIR instead of the flat Glass Lens. I had a feeling they would do this which is why I mentioned over and over “Not the TIR Lens, I need the Flat Glass Lens that covers the TIR lens”.

Will just buy one instead. Manker offered to give me one for free with 5 dollars shipping. Flashlightlens.com has them very close to the right size as well.

I have seen dropped items standing on their edge along side a table leg or similar, very very hard to see a glass lens.

Well at least you will have a spare.

John.

Well, I’ll be dipped. Was sweeping my office wood floors today. Swept behind the door and there it was. Just like you said, the lens was stuck along it’s edge to the baseboard on the wall. Completely invisible until I hit it with the broom. I had checked behind the door a few times.

I have a spare now. The lens from flashlightlens.com fit fine.

Do you have the exact spec of the lens you ordered from flashlightlens.com? thanks!
