New Jetbeam E01R AAA - Battery only charging to 400mah 50%

Anyway another Jetbeam E01R on owner CPF said his nimh battery was only charging to 50% of capacity, he was asking if any other Jetbeam E01R had the same problem.

I only just received my Jetbeam E01R this morning, So i discharged an 930mah Eneloop Pro on my Opus C3100 and then charged it in the Jetbeam E01R

The after 387mah according to my usb meter the charging stopped, I then discharged the battery in my C3100 at 200ma and got the result of 392mah on an 930mah battery, so it was less than 50% for me, the other Jetbeam E01R owner must be charging a 800mah AAA.

I even tried removing and reinserting the power connector to see if the battery would charge any more, but the charging light went out after 1min approx.

I am running further charge/discharge cycles but has anybody else with an Jetbeam E01R having this problem as well ???

Thanks

John.

I only got 349mah on my second charge/discharge even worse, F-CRAP

Ok, I had been using Eneloop Pro AAA 930mah and only getting around 400mah into the battery, even after 3 charge/recharge cycles.

So i tried an standard Enloop AAA 800mah and i am 487,471,539mah so doing better on the 800mah though the capacity`s are all over the place.

And the straight out of charger voltage is only 1.37v

John.

I have 2 E10Rs en route so I can’t provide any input yet, but I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on the thread.

Edit: E10R not E01R

Fingers crossed for you, But is the E01R that unpopular as nobody else has responded even to say their`s is working great.

John.

I just realized we are probably talking about two different lights. I have E*10*Rs on the way. They’ve only been in stock for a few days at the discount sites, so I doubt many/any of them are in people’s hands yet.

I didn’t realize there is also an E01R. Looking at CPF all the threads regarding it appear to be in the last month or so, so it’s likely there are not many of them in the wild yet either.

E01R: XP-G2

E10R: XPL-HI

I wonder if the E01R clip will fit the E10R. Hmmm……

Well i hope the E10R use a different charging circuit, Also the clip on mine is loose as anything and just rotates no matter how hard i tighten the battery cap, Also i doubt an AAA clip will fit an AA flashlight :)

John.

LOL I completely missed that the 01 is AAA. :person_facepalming:

I just asked for a coupon for the e10r. I’m watching to see reports on this one before purchase though.
