Massdrop Lumintop Brass

Got a email this morning that they are being shipped by Massdrop or according to this email maybe not or maybe they have no idea, weird message it either is or isn’t or about to,

Your Massdrop Brass AAA Pocket Flashlight has shipped with trackinig and it should be arriving soon! ( Are you really sure Massdrop?)

Your package is being shipped via Fedex.
Please note that there may be a short delay between when our fulfillment center ships your package, and when the package begins to return tracking information. If the tracking page shows “Not found” for your tracking number, please try again in a day or two. Rest assured, your package is on its way.

OK, so my package will be shipped sooner or later

Congrats!
that message means the shipping label was created, and your package now has a tracking number

the next milestone will be when USPS receives the package and scans the shipping label,

after that there will be a tracking record at USPS online, and you can sign up for text message tracking update notifications

Hey Buddy, you know what just dawned on me?
I forgot to get back to you about AAA lights or something like that, gez getting old and stupid.
Ya, I sort of figured out what they meant… ha ha, but it can read two ways, like maybe it’s shipped out and or maybe not,
To tell the truth I had forgot I even ordered this light, so I’m thinking … WHAT, Lunintop, I didn’t buy a Lumintop… ha ha,
Had to go back and look at it the light so I could remember what the light looked like,… another clue I’m getting to old, nearly as old as you pal…. :stuck_out_tongue:
he he. …
Good to hear from you though and need to remember whatever it was that I forgot to tell you in my long rambling gibberish…
Thanks for the explanation and talk with you again soon I hope…G.

I got an email too. Says will be via FedEx, my last Massdrop buy went from FedEx to USPS and two extra days after the expected delivery date.

no worries
I dont remember either…

Im hoping to find out if the Brass Tools get the new efficient driver that is in the latest 2017 Maratac w Nichia (it runs 40 minutes, flat regulated, before going dim)
if you remember, please do a runtime test on High w Eneloop, if it is dim by 35 minutes, its the inefficient driver that was in the prelease sample that _UPz reviewed

efficiency info here: Efficiency Copper Lumintop Tool, Worm, Maratac, ReyLight - #6 by jon_slider

also curious if the low mode on the Brass Tool is at 3 lumens, or 1 lumen like the ReyLights. you will need a light meter for that, or a Lumintop Tool w Nichia (3 lumen low) to compare to

That’s right I went and followed your link to CPF and read all your work, you did a very good job, I was impressed and surprised I do recall that but not what the light was that surprised me,
Thanks, for the memory jump… ha

Edit: I just saw a coupon code for the copper worm and I think the price was fairly good and will go look again if you want…?

Ya it was $19.99 with a code

Edit, the copper lumintop tool is $23 or so and not the $60 again, I do remember the last time it was this cheap.

I used to buy the Copper Worm w Nichia and the Copper Tool w Nichia, just so I could use the heads on a Maratac, to get a Nichia twisty with a reversible pocket clip

the New Copper Maratac w Nichia saves me from having to Lego, its my grail light atm

Im probably going to buy another CuTool w Nichia, I keep giving them away. I prefer to gift clicky lights to newbies, so they dont have to learn twisty interface

what Im hoping for next is a CuTool w Nichia and an Electronic switch, like your incoming Brass Tool

another unique thing about the Brass Tool is that the clip is also brass plated… I will be tickled if the CuTool w Electronic switch follows suit with a Copper plated clip

all trivia, I dont “need” any more lights… but then, obsession is not about “need” its about “want”

imo “collection” is Co-Dependent speak for “accumulation”, but I digress
what were we talking about?

I received an email too, yesterday
It was shipped via DHL Global Mail, the tracking already works
