Farthest Thrower, tightest beam. Reference; Convoy C8 size range, Single 18650 Tube Size

Of all lights released to date, without mods. 4th quarter 2016 to current date. What is the brightest, tightest, furthest throwing 18650 light available?

Question is being asked, based on 18650 light sizes in my signature below.

Who's the winner in the thrower category?

you forgot this stupid looking light

Stupid looking light? I think it's pretty classy looking. Typical toilet plunger style. Added to my "must have" list. My only issue with rotational heads, they should have obvious "detents" for locking in place.

Now back to my OP

I have a Nitecore P30. Lots of reach and a nice beam. It’s my favorite for a single cell 18650 light.

L2 with an 18650 sleeve count?

with that size of its head, 26650 tube is better

Mmmm. Looks a bit top-heavy, but not necessarily stoopit.

What bugs me is the pocket clip. Wotnahell you gonna hang that monster on, except a clothesline? Like, seriously…

And it’s a lot less toilet plunger-looking than the EagleTac.

in C8 size lens ( remember a P30 is bigger dia lens) and without Mods possibly the HS-802 with XM-L2 U3 and 2x18650 tube

The NC P30 size is fine by me, as long as it is single 18650 configuration.

The HS802, that's an interesting piece.

Noted for further research.

Thanks.

AR , i hav a HS-802 and a NC P30 both arriving shortly and will compare to my C8 / XPL-HI V2 1A and my Dance lite C8 / XM-L2 U3

cheers

Awesome. I look forward to your evaluation.

M2x-ut?

P30 imo

could be M2x-ut? but it has around 810m throw, i bet there are those that reach 1000m with a single 18650 battery but cant think of any right now…

cant be, only throws a bit over 600m, the olight m2x ut a littler over 800m if the specs are correct…

I think he means this one….

I like mine, but yeah the battery tube and driver/mcpcb base design is a bit FUNKY!

Where do you draw the line for “without mods”, does that include lights that you can buy pre-modded? Because that changes this game quite a bit.

for me its, taken out of box put in batteries and shine, thats how i see no mods more or less…

Olight makes some suhweet flashlights. They're one of the top contenders in the LED lighting industry, IMO.

I have none of the Olight brand in my collection. Yet. When I finally do have one, I am sure others will follow.
