Turning pocket flashlights into lamps/baton lights

I find the baton adapter included in some lights a very useful feature. But can I turn any pocket flashlight in a useable small lamp?

I’m looking for adapters or ideas to quickly convert a flashlight into a lamp. Thanks!

You may need to look up “diffusers” to find more search results. Lots of options for typical 18650 tube lights (24-25mm) and wider, but not many options for smaller lights.

Here is an example review for the Convoy S2+ diffuser.

This is what I use for my NC MH20, I just had to warm it up a bit with a hairdryer to get it to fit snug.

There’s a selection at FT, the silicone ones are useful as they can stretch a bit.

Thank you guys, I’ll measure my babies and find out which ones to get.

toilet paper will give you a baton/ traffic wand in about 3 seconds . problem is a baton diffuser IMHO is very glarey and like a light bulb without a shade it's so harsh it's hard to deal with ..OTOH if you make or add a wand style diffuser and then add a shade the light is very pleasing like a lamp in a room . Diffuser film avoids all of these issues by throwing light in about 160 degrees and at the same time allowing you and your eyes to be behind the beam ....Or underneath it. Wand diffusers do one or two things ... they either kill off enough light that the light doesn't hurt your eyes /or they are just bright glaring and to harsh to effectively use . Depending on the size of the head of your light there are a few simple options out there .

i bought a mango smoothie and lots of my lights fit into the bottle after taking off the colored label it's as good or better than the dozen Fenix traffic wands I have ...

Also these kroger brand coffee creamer bottles have been a favorite of mine for years ..Downside is they are BIG ..but end up looking like a large light bulb.

i think this is actually the smoothie i had (i forget since i peeld the label ;) )

not a fan unless you're using another shade ///???

I found a few of these plastic shades off of a light like this ^.. and added the plastic bulb off of ...>>>

i simply stuck the bulb onto a nice AA flashlight

stuck the light and bulb into the shade ..&

Added a long lanyard... I'm pretty impressed how nicely it sits on the nightstand ,

How nice the light is that it produces .

* I didn't realize banggood even sold these oddball closet lights/ I bought it at a thrift store for a quarter..i really like the bulb part and would like to make a few more of these shade/bulb flashight lights :)
