Interesting. I have some EBL 18650 cells (my dad bought some against my recommendation). It tested at 1940 mAh at 1A down to 2.7V (several reported capacity tests around the internet are generally consistent with around 2000mAh capacity). Around 70 mOhms IR. So maybe not terrible cells, but they’re not really worth it considering the unknown quality control and better available options, IMO.

^^^ What was the labeled capacity on those 2000mAh cells?

The EBL 18650s are labeled 3000mAh.

So not as bad a capacity exaggeration as some (e.g. 10000mAh) but certainly not good. OTOH, the EBL 600mAh 6F22 9V (2S) Li-ion batteries are true-capacity.

Maybe they exaggerate dimensions, and it’s actually only 18 mm in diameter… hehe. Wink

35mohm on the dick smith.
on a crude charger setup one did 2990@3a
will do a better test shortly but preliminary shows they are useful.
i doubt they will outdo a vtc6 or a 30q but we shall see.
ebl ebay
i got 4 for $12.99.
i thought the sale was for a pair.
its 2 pair!

Wow! Nice!

I bought a dozen of them a few months ago, and put them in all of my flashlights that came with a AAA battery carrier, and plastic sleeve. If the buyer wanted to use a 18650 battery.

I have been very happy with them. Now, all of those flashlights are ‘sleeveless’! Cool

Thumbs Up It was nice to free up all of those 18650 batteries. When they could be put to a more strenuous use. Cool

My main goal here was four fold. Eliminate the sleeve. Still have decent capacity. Use a cheaper battery for this easy light work, and free up those other more expensive batteries. The 20mm O.D. of this battery works perfect for that.

built a set of versapaks with these.
not quite as good under heavy load as the ones i built with 25r.
but decent.
the ones i built with 20700a are on par with the 25r with longer runtime.

the delivery of 4 cells on the first purchase is an error.
they are 2/12.99.
not quite the value they seem.
when i got my 20700a i paid $8/pc shipped.
i got 20.
so looking for a good deal/sale on the sanyo is my way now.
btw a drill with 20700a packs(2) will drive a 4” drywall screw into old hard wood, countersink it a bit, then snap the head off.
you could not get one half way in with the old nicads.
