This is my Amazon review:

——
5.0 out of 5 stars
VERY small, bright, reliable looking, well made, good quality LED
By wle on May 22, 2017

it;s nice
well made
smooth twisty, i would like it to take less effort to twist (though if it was easier it might turn on in your pocket)

very bright, nice color light, probably is 80-110 lumens

[may wear battery too fast though, i think a standard alkaline is going to last less than 10 minutes at full brightness, then dropping the light output after that until you decide it’s too dim.]

it also heats the head up somewhat, not too much to be uncomfortable, but it also indicates heavy drain on the battery.
(i wish it had lower light modes to save battery when you don;t need it)

it looks super waterproof

it is probably the smallest and lightest light i have, other than a photon keychain coin cell light

they sent a battery, good but it had plastic wrap on it that i didn;t see
at first i thought the battery or the light was DOA
but they were both fine, just had to remove plastic on the battery

Oh, wotdahell… My review:

Nice little light! I’m still surprised at the small size of AAA-based lights, as I mainly carry those that take 18650s and even 26650s, and these are truly keychain lights.

A twisty is perfect for these lights to prevent accidental turn-on by pressing a tailcap switch or side-switch. And 1-mode (just on/off) is what I prefer in most lights, so this was perfect for me.

It comes with, well, everything. Lanyard, keyring, spare O-rings, even the AAA cell itself. You get the nice retail box, not just a generic mummified-in-bubblewrap-and-packing-tape blob. The clear plastic tray holds everything in place, and even comes with an insert with instructions/description. Nicely done.

The light itself is a nice clean design (see “sexy body” in the blurbs! Big Smile ), and when headstanding, resembles an elongated chesspiece (rook). Despite its small size, it seems to have some nice heft to it. I’m actually impressed! Smile

Threads are nice and smooth, not gritty, the O-ring damps turning it somewhat for a nice “rubbery” feel, and it shouldn’t loosen on its own in your pocket. Yet it’s pretty easy to turn on/off with two fingers while holding it.

Color is nice, a nice neutral white, not the usual Angry Blue™ “cool-white” that lots of cheap lights seem to have. And it’s bright. I don’t know yet how it’ll fare as the AAA cell itself gets spent, as this cell is still fresh out of the wrapper, but I’m hoping the boost circuit will keep the intensity up as long as possible even as the cell ages. Time will tell…

My biggest gripe about, and why I absolutely detest, 3×AAA lights, is that they start off bright, and suffer a slow but constant decline in brightness, until you get sick of the dim light and change the cells. At least a single cell with booster circuit should compensate (within reason) as the cell ages. Again, I hope, and only time will tell.

All in all, I’m impressed. I prefer sleek designs, and this is definitely one of those. And performance so far is quite good.
