Looks like a nice light with nice package, thanks for posting!

I got mine yesterday. Really like it so far. Mine also charged to 4.18v and shut off.

Only problem was the spring cover on the head wasn’t making contact so I had to take out the retaining ring and reseat it. No biggy.

Old thread, but just noticing the beam shots, the Zanflare F1 appears to smoke the others!

True dat!

I wonder if that the NW version F1, he doesn’t say in his F1 review, but the translate isn’t perfect.

I guess the 1240lm turbo (flare) mode steps down in 30 seconds, not a deal-breaker though.

Every time I see mention of this light (F1) I wish I had one, somehow I can’t get past missing out on the $10 deal.

30sec? Count it out. Seriously, get an oven-timer or something, and shine a flashlight around for 30sec. It’s different in Real Life vs on paper. And the diff between flare/turbo/whatever and just plain high ain’t that much, visually speaking.

When I was EDCing my F1, frankly, I forgot it even had “flare” mode, as plain ol’ high was quite respectable.

Tell me about it. I mistakenly ordered 2 at 20bux each(!!), thinking that 20 was the great price, not 10. Oy.

Yeah, I kept ’em. Figure worst case, I can show ’em around and sell ’em at-cost to guys at the shop I hang around at, etc. Maybe throw in a “starter” cell like from a laptop pull (which I use myself in my ’502, RJ02, etc.; not trying to pawn off junk or anything) just to get ’em going. As it is, they ain’t going anywhere, so I’m in no rush.

I agree, and the 30 second timer isn’t a con at all for me, (why I wrote “not a deal breaker”) I was just putting it out there for others. For years I’ve been well aware that 30 seconds is plenty long for turbo, way more than needed for short bursts. I always think of that when people complain on here about 1-2 minute turbo step downs and I think wow that’s a long time I never need turbo that long.

So my oven timer will remain used for pizza and soft pretzels! :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah I remember reading your 2 at $20 each mistake, after seeing these beam shots in the review here I’m thinking they’re worth every penny of 20 bux. I’m still in awe of those shots.

One thing is I wish it had is a forward switch at the tail, I think all these dual switch lights should have it, I mean why not? I don’t know what’s to gain with a reverse switch on these? You only click it once, no mode changing.
