for now dont count that its possible to source those emitters, i would like the light with that emitter aswell but it seems it will probably be sst20 unless we hear something else…
It is a great light! really small but powerful as a 18650 light!
I didn’t read through the thread, how is the heat sink?
Look at the pictures and informations in the first posts and you will see the heat sink: http://budgetlightforum.com/node/54239
The flashlight will get hot realy quick, of cause.
The XP-L HI and SST-20 will go first in production.
Which specific version (of the SST20), that will come later guys.
In the meantime, it’s QingMing festival in China today Friday, plus Saturday and Sunday, you know what that means, so till next week.
Thanks. You get a lot more detailed news than I do. Like, when asking for updates a month ago, all I got was “it is fit”. And then we asked again this week, and got a response yesterday: “the optics arrived”. I really can’t get a lot of info out of 3-word responses. Figuring out what’s going on is a bit like playing a game of “20 questions“ with a maximum of one question per day.
from tlf translated it sounds neal and fw3a team are really passion about this light.
**In the BLF unfortunately small talk mixes extremely with useful information.
I sent Neal 5 questions yesterday with questions, no question was left unanswered for more than 15 minutes.
ToyKeeper is also at full throttle. Last week, the manual in German language finished. Here was a user from the TLF over weeks intensively with Toykeeper and me by mail and Facebook in contact.
The team FW3A and Neal are definitely 100% with passion. : Thumbsup:
I have access to the communication between Neal and Toykeeper and can say without their commitment the project FW3A would not have come about. Of course, there are always problems, but it was always found a good solution to fix these problems.

Your effort is deeply appreciated TK.
I can ‘only imagine’ how frustrating this must be for you.

I would like LH351D as well. But what do you guys think about the 3000K SST-20? It has a lot less green in it.

I’d be interested in 1 with whichever high CRI option ends up being made.
I’d like to be put on the list for one with the XP-L emitters, please. Thanks!

Most probably the 4000k, 95cri SST-20 is the expected choice.
Good to hear. Hopefully whoever is doing the sourcing can locate FA1 or FA4 tint bin (FD1 or FD4 also works).
Please add my name to the list for 1 light… Thanks

Put me down for 1 with SST20’s. Thanks.
I've only been wrong once, and that's when I thought I was wrong.
Think of not. TLF is 100% German.
You are a flashaholic if you are forced to come out of the closet, to make room for more flashlights.
Thank you Henk4U2….
@ Tally-ho …. Thank you also.

As in made in the last few days?
Is it going to be sent to a few ‘Key People’ for testing before final production begins.
Just curious, thanks in advance for any answers.
It looks great btw….

Fit is good.

That makes 3 total, XPL, 351 and SST.
