I hope you are right.
This clip with the extra hole is from the first prototype.
Maybe they add a black o-ring underneath to avoid this clip version to spin and wobble on the production sample, because they were short of the latest clip.
I won’t speculate more, time will tell. Sorry for the disruption.

Honestly, I ‘hope’ I’m right to. “Hope” being the key word. Smile
For the life of me I just cannot understand why they would suddenly change to a painted clip. Facepalm
But, I do realize; stranger things have happened. Big Smile
Take care Tally-ho… I guess we will find out before long. Beer

Barring any unforeseen circumstance, this week, 2 samples will be sent to 2 members here in BLF and one sample to a member in TLF.

The final approval from the three persons will pave the way for the light’s mass-production.

As usual, in the meantime, Beer

I liked the silver clip, and I liked that the tip section was smooth. It has a good texture for thumb fidgeting.

Not really excited about a black clip, or having an extra hole in the end. Color will probably scrape off, and it already has a better place to attach a lanyard.

Would be nice if the only change was to fix the driver fit issue.

I much prefer the clip tip with no hole. The hole makes it look cheap, IMO, unless they were to press fit a stainless or ceramic ball into it. A raw, brushed finish is what I think would look nicest on the clip (well, expensive coatings live DLC or PVD also). The painted black will look terrible after a day or two of carry.

I much prefer not having to read post after post that is “Much Ado About Nothing”.
It is going to be a fantastic light at an unbelievably low price.
It is essentially a done deal now and is in the hands of very competent BLF and TLF Team members.
Each one of us has a choice when it becomes available…if you like it, you buy it. If you don’t like it, don’t buy it and move on.

Oh that’s just sexy as hell. Etching and no circle on the clip, that’s just a very sleek look.

No complaints about Lumintop putting a rabbit on the button instead of some other animal!?

I’m shocked, I tell you. Shocked!

Just a reminder, if you don’t like the color of the clip or host some sandpaper and even metal polish is always an option…

I don’t like it either. But better that, than etched on the side of the light somewhere. I like the clean look of this with no logos on the bezel or battery tube.

well things have changed, the initial plan said it was gonna use the samsung emitters, now it seems at the moment that wont happen so.. i dont see this as a big deal really im happy the light is coming to its end.

if im gonna guess on the logo on the switch, i think that lumintop wants a little logo on the light so people can tell its a lumintop. i know this was not the idea from the start, it said no logos etc but i dont bother with this really, others will i guess..

C’mon CRX, are you telling us that you will not make that bunny “enlightened”? Evil

I know what you mean, a “no logo” button would be nice!
IMO, though, this is something I can live with once I have it in my hands! Wink

While I think I preferred no logo (at least for the group buy, idc what they do after), it won't stop me from buying.

Honestly, Lumintop would be foolish to not let the public have an idea who made the light. There are going to be thousands of these in pockets, in backpacks, in desk and side table drawers and not giving the public a clue about the manufacturer would be a colossal blunder.

They could’ve made mention of it earlier on, but can you blame them for advertising?

/\ +1 Nope, can’t blame them at all. Smart move on their part. And it is very, very subtle to boot. Not in any way gaudy or ugly.
