I might have told Neal (I did) I didn’t like the look of the first version…this new version looks better and is going to be smaller the ones I make…

I never like the long slop on the 18650 tube, so a 18350 tube that is mainly a long slope really makes me

Blue/Green aux LED’s

Titanium brushed, Ti Short Heated with ceramic blue baked on interior, Polished aluminum short, and the far one was the darkest Blue/Gray (stock) ano out of 9 stock FW3A’s that past thru my hands…

The short Ti started out as this color, then I cut it down, sanded and lightly polished and it turned out like this… smokey… I guess..

Nice. Wonder if they will be sold somewhere else. And which design they finally chose because the images show two different versions.

edit: Is that even a legit shop? I haven’t heard of it before.

I might try your DarkHorse UI on the FW3A since it will accompany the two or three ZebraLights I carry daily.

I don’t have that one updated to work with three channels, but I could do that if people are interested. It’s just not something anyone has really expressed interest in before, so it hasn’t had any meaningful updates since I first created it in 2017.

Out of curiosity, what is needed? How doable?

Anyone else see the FW21 on Lumintop site with trit slots in head? Looks to be the 21700 version of FW3A. Will be interesting to see review.

FYI many reports of that light with too long battery tube (doesn’t fit flat tops) and too short of clip.

Thanks justanotherguy! Don’t know how I missed this.

Thanks contacter! Just caught up and looks like they are addressing battery tube issue. Clip is not as much of an issue for me as is all of those trit slots. It seems to be a limited release so I will pass. Thanks again!

Ordered the 18350 tube just because. Also the SS bezel and the tactical ring to try (don’t use the clip so should he able to attach a lanyard on the shorty tube.

Could someone tell me what it the weight of FW3T+Cu? I’m thinking of geting one but I don’t want to end up with something to heavy for EDC.

Illumn has it listed at ~120g for the Cu/Ti version without a cell and ~53g for the Al version without a cell.

I EDC mine and I don’t notice the weight in my pocket (I use the pocket watch pocket in my jeans for the light, no clip). I’m 6’3” and ~250lbs though, so a few oz here or there isn’t going to make a big difference to me.

I also wonder how is heat management on the FW3Ti + Cu in comparison to the standard FW3A. Does it last longer on turbo due to Cu head but provide lower sustainable output as would be my guess?

EDIT:
Thanks for the replies above, this will be quite an useful list.

Question: Will the short tubes work on the first run FW3As that don’t have a retaining ring in the tail cap? My only grey one is from the original run so there’s no use getting a grey body tube if it won’t be fully compatible. I’m hoping we might see these tubes in the extra colours in the near future too.

By my luggage scale: 130 g / 4.5 oz / 0.28 lb (All measurements taken with battery installed.).

Enjoy the light show - LedTed
