WTB, P60 pill for 20mm mpcb, carclo 10508 TIR and a 17mm dirver

I’m looking for a P60 pill to put a triple led 20mm mpcb, carclo 10508 TIR lens and a 17mm dirver board.
I plan on putting it into a Solarforce l2t host.

Seem the Mattaus pill is designed for what I am planing to do but there are no more I can find available.

Neither are the bushwhacked pills available from what I can tell.

Copper triple p60 shells (run 2)

Hello everyone, I’m offering copper triple p60 shells. [image] [image] I have asked Mattaus if it was ok that I made these, he gave me the ok, they differ slightly from his. I had originally planned for a solarforce only type of shell, Matts design was universally best so I went with that. These are the same dimensions as Matts’ shells. These are for triples ie. 20mm carclo optics and 20mm noctigon, or similar thickness MCPCB. 17mm driver hole with recess …

Any suggestions for a source for such a pill?
Will the P60 Quad shell from mtnelectronics work even though it seems to be designed for a 24mm optic?

You will need a triple pill, the quad pill is really designed for the large optic and the quad star. The quad stars are impossible to get right now, I have 3 quads I need to build and can’t get a decent DTP star.

Does kiriba-ru have the triple shells? If not maybe Texas lumens has empty shells as well as building ones in his store.

My quad shells are open-design (there is no rim around optics). They can be used for triple build with one extra part (aluminium ring, think I have last one).

Other quad shells will work, but there are two problems: you will have gap between rim and optics, and you will need to fix optics in the pcb because there will be some distance (2-3mm) betweem glass lens and optics.

Had a few minutes during lunch at work. Does this seem about right?

Sorry for the size and quality, only have a few minutes, much smaller and the hidden edges wash out when I export to a .png. Dimensions in millimeters. Measured the Noctigon MCPCB and the Carclo optics and the pocket for it would have about 0.07mm for solder or thermal grease.
Outer lower shelf is for 18mm spring to hold pill against front of head, I know it’s a little over-sized. Going for an interference fit and keep the wall thickness up.
Inner shelf is to hold driver board right at the surface for good ground solder joints.

I’ve already made changes to the drawing based on internet information for the board thicknesses for the emitter and driver.
Send a draft drawing to a local machine shop for an estimate.

Time will tell if I’m chasing my tail, or my ego exceeds my wallet.

Maybe Fellhoelter will make another batch before I get to deep into this.
