Just pre-ordered one w/219C's. Looks pretty good. Can't wait to get my hands on the survival hammer - I don't have one and need it.

Wut?

It says right here on BG the S42 comes with one, so it's included smile

I wonder how the UI works? From the illustration it looks like you have to click through all the modes before the light turns off. I hope this is not the case.

Good find!

Nice to see a copper head too… but i’m not fond of the ‘colored’ SS.

Copper head with aluminum body is the version I prefer; will it be offered?

I would also be glad to see a plain aluminum S41 head…

what would be a good choice of 18350 cell for this, xtar 18350 850mah unprotected, BASEN 18350 800mAh 12A. Trustfire TF 18350 Li-Ion 1200mAh Button Top 3.7v Unprotected, EFEST 18350 Batteries 3.7V Li-ion 800mAh IMR, my guess unprotected would be best.

Unprotected high drain would be best.

For the S41 i bought Enercig 18350 700mAh. Good performer.

I’m trying to get some Aspire 18350 1300mAh – tested at 1050 and probably capable of 7A.

Yes, just watch out for protected cells (they are typically too long to fit and also gives less output).

Those Efest 18350 will do.

Note they are somewhat ‘old’ – four/five years. There has not been much evolution in the 18350 format but more recent cells may have a bit more capacity (those test at 700 mAh). Make sure you buy new ones because LiIon cells do age even without use – or so is my understanding.

They seem to be identical to Keeppower 18350 under the wrapper.
Could well be the same cell.

Probably not capable of 7 Amperes.
i.i.r.c. they’re good up to 3 Amperes.

Looking for:

5” parabolic reflector (for recoil light)

with the 18650 tube on the S41S my button top Samsung 30Q’s are a press fit and even stripped a bit of the shrink-wrap off of one.
worked OK just too wide for the extension tube. Same with protected 18650’s
they work fine in the S41 extended tube

Got my order of 18350s yesterday, and they’re labelled Efest. Need to check the capacity, but as they’re labelled 800mAh, I assume that they’re the Efest IMR18350 800mAh (Red) tested by HJK.

Is there a belt holster that would fit the S42 (in the 18350 format)?

This seems to be for the 18650 configuration. Is there one for 18350?

I have one and the S41 W/18350 fits if you leave the head above the elastic sides

being elastic you can push the entire body into the case and hit the bottom
butt the light is not secure and could conceivably fall out the open area at the base

works fine W/18650 tube installed

add…I had tried it with my S41S and it stayed in the upper position fairly well due to its grippier knurling
on trying it with my S41 it can by a little shaking, fall fully to the bottom part of the case
I can’t recommend this for use W/18350 configuration

I am looking for a spacer/battery case that could be placed in the lower part of this case to hold the S41 in position in the upper part of the case
might work a-treat as these pocket rockets can eat a battery pretty quick in showoff mode

~1.75” length seems optimum, same as 10440 /AAA Thumbs Up
the width is partially flexible due to the elastic sides, as is square/round/oblong
as long as it can fit 1, or better yet, 2 18350’s

might make a very field-able case out of this genre
