Forgetful Me, Anyone ever get flashlights from Italy?

I got a DHL notification on Friday May 5th that I had a DHL Express package coming on Monday, May 8th. I looked up the waybill number and it said it was picked up in Parma Italy, with the customs paper saying it’s a “torch”.

I didn’t order any flashlights, don’t have any review lights coming, and have never heard of this person. (or not to the best of my knowledge anyway) So I’m asking out loud here to see if any of these things rings a bell with anybody. The reason being that the package is now being held in Italy with no invoice. DHL is telling me that they cannot contact the sender, but the sender needs to provide that invoice, and so here I am trying to get to the bottom of this mystery.

Anybody?

I’m pretty bad about ordering something and forgetting about it. And I’ve been surprised by a review light or a sample/proto showing up that had totally slipped my mind. But this time, those bases have been covered and quite frankly, the Chinese name sending from Italy has totally thrown me off! lol

I’ve gotten a Gitzo monopod from Italy before, which of course has absolutely nothing to do with flashlights or DHL Express for that matter.

At any rate, someone paid $40 to ship something to me that isn’t making it due to one missing slip of paper…

Edit: Getting some clues, still at a loss without further imput from the sender. I was thinking it was a company, but am not so sure anymore.

Yeah you prolly forgot that you ordered it or its just a sample sent by someone, there are lotsa Cn companies that based their warehouses in Europe

My first thought was also that it’s a chinese sellers EU warehouse.

It’s looking like the package DHL has is from an individual, a Sinner light that is acting up. I do repairs for Sinner when someone messes up one of his lights. Sure wish they’d communicate with me before sending things out, would be so much easier…

Still don’t know if the missing invoice issue has been taken care of. I don’t have contact information for the guy and it would appear that DHL won’t contact him because I was in touch with them first. Some weird rule of theirs.
