Where are the good deals for batteries for the Q8 outside US

I read about all the good deals for batteries in US. This is a copy what they got (us deal)
“$5.09 each plus $3.05 first class shipping for qty 4. Works out to 5.85 each qty 4.

8 to 16 cells can ship flat rate priority for $6.30. So, if you ordered 12 batteries, it would work out to $5.62 each. 16 would work out to $5.48 each.

Plastic cases come with all cells. See post #162

Also available are Panasonic/Sanyo NCR18650GA protected cells. They will be equipped with a Seiko PCB with AO MOSFETs for 12-13A high current cutoff. If you are giving one of these lights to an non-enthusiast, quality protected cells are the way to go for piece of mind.
Price is $6.92 each, same shipping as above.”

End of story… what I got in Europe is about 10 $ for protected and very expensive batteries. If someone can make a good deal on batteries in europe or elsewhere they will sell alot of batteries.

I still waiting for a good deal on the batteries, and I hope someone can find away to make a good deal.

Do you know nkon.nl ?

Yes and they are 10.95 €, so didnt answer my question.

Protected batteries

Hmm OK let me contact nkon then.
Dutch isn’t a big problem for me

Use unprotected cells in the Q8.

OK I just came of the phone with Arjen from Nkon
He is prepared to sell 30Q cells for a price as sharp as he can do, think around €4-€4,40
Shipping is depending on where they need to be send to so vary.
He is going to make sure he gets some stock.

Thx now we are talking :). Good to hear that its possible to get a deal going in europe.

Awesome! Thanks

welcome!
I just called to get the number in the phone so I could call tomorrow, not really prepared for the surprise of it being answered this late (+/-21.30h) , dedicated man for sure!

That sounds really good for us EU people!
Thanks for your efforts!

They’re €3.99 already. (?)

the flat tops are 4€ but the button tops (we need for the Q8) are ~5,50€.

If that price drops to 4,50€ there is no way I’ll think about soldering myself.

Aha, i missed that.

I’m lazy and just use a magnet and if I’m feeling cautious use some glue to keep the magnets in place.

I’ll keep an eye on this thread though.

I’ve got some more VTC6’s on the way I could use if needed anyway.

on a soda can light with 4 cells the magnets do not seem a good idea, there is sideways force when (un)screwing
