Unilite - Anyone know anything about this mid range brand?

My company is looking to replace our torches. We have had some lousy torches in the past partly out of ignorance from the buyers and partly out of vendor restrictions and budget restraints. I managed to get a load of Thorfire torches in, last time around, as they were cheap and our department are allowed to buy from Amazon UK. I was told quite clearly that they would not be stumping up for Nitecore or Olight level lights and our usual favourite Chinese brands like Convoy are not available from any of the vendors we use. All of a sudden things have changed within our finance department and they are looking at the brand Hilite who I have never heard of and who have no reviews online of any worth and no in-depth information available on emitters or memory modes etc. The model they are looking at is the Unilite Hivis HV-FL9R which is an 1100L rechargeable torch and has an RRP of £74.95 ($96.00). This seems like a bad move to me but I could be wrong. Anyone know anything about these people?

Why on earth spend £75 on a totalty unkown item?
The options are endless at that pricepoint in all kinds of sizes.

Edit.
Looks like a 10$ zoomie with USB charing.

Not even bothered to mention what led they are useing.

Agree, it looks a 100% mediocre $10 light. The only thing that could save this light is if it is vitually bulletproof, everything potted, will never fail. I highly doubt that because then they would proudly advertise those features in detail, instead there’s no information whatsoever on what is inside the light.

Have you searched BLf, ibcan vaguely recal this being overpriced old cr@p with a nice marketing blabla, but could be wrong.

Jusr go with Thorfire
Or if your company really wanta to spend more, just order Convoys cells and chargers and put them on Amazon for them to buy, they know they can trust that vendor and you can offer free drop off shipping

You are preaching to the choir on this one. They seem to be lurching around in the dark with this purchase. The last torch that was passed on to me by them was even worse as it was a variation of the infamous G700 “Military Grade” lights. The charger did not work though and that with my severe disproval via email got those canned at least. I have asked for the Unilite to be sent to my office so that I can inspect it but I fear the guys that work with them such as myself are being closed out of the buying loop. All the guys that were issued Thorfire torches last year have been happy with them one of them though to be fair did fail and die but at the pricepoint paid they were good value.

For that much money per ligjt even nitecore lights would be cheaper
