…. I’ve become a flashaholic!

Hi guys, new to the forum. I’m also an active member on CPF but have decided to come over to here, as whilst I like CPF and there are a few member I’ve experienced who are very helpful, the feel of the place seems very ‘it doesn’t cost £1,000,000 and throw 10 miles so it’s not worthy’.

Current collection is
Stock TN4A XPL HI
2S 18650 DD XHP50.2 80+ CRI convoy C8
Convoy M2 BLF A6 drive and sliced XML2
Triple XPG2 R5 convoy S2+

I’m a natural tinkerer and notice a lot of good stuff comes out of here so I’m hoping to learn and create my own monstrosities!

With only four lights it is not a bad case, I passed the 100 mark many years ago.

It’s only 4 lights but it’s been a light a month.
I also have another C8 on the way that’s a project/gift and an MT07 buffalo because why not!
I’m thinking of popping an XHP50 in the mt07. Gunna get 3 and then slice one and try dedoming another and keep one as a spare.
Any tips for cleanly dedoming an XHP50?

4 lights a month is not bad, especially if you keep it up.

There are a few E01 in the collection, but also some rare lights.
I might not review lights anymore, that does not mean I have stopped buying lights, but I am probably below 4 lights a month :wink:

Welcome to the forum. It’s not that expensive lights, awesome lathe work, or great throwers don’t exist here but more the case that nothing’s off limits except a bad attitude. You do get to see more cheap, ugly, silk purse from sow’s ear stuff which I’m partial to myself.

Welcome aboard. I think you’ll find a very nice bunch of people here. If you are new to the addiction, I would suggest that you pace yourself in your acquisitions. There is always something newer, better, brighter, longer-throwing coming out next month or year. Leave some room. Start with HKJ’s reviews, which you probably already know having come over from the darkside. Have fun!

Welcome Thom, this is the better side in a lot of ways compared to CPF. If you want to learn how to mod and build your own lights this is the place.
