Orcatorch ea 01

Check out my review of this keychain light. I genuinely love the tint of this XP-G2 LED and was really surprised how much I like this little light.

your review? she is doing a good job!
subbed and liked

Thanks. She is a sweetie.

I just got one, too, and like it a lot.

Umm, an EA01, not a kid. Can’t just order kids from Amazon, even with prime. Well, not yet, at least.

Pleasantly surprised by the really nice NW tint, too.

Same here. Love my little EA01.

I don’t have any other small light like this. A 14500 light is the closest thing I have.

I was really surprised at how bright it is for a AAA.

This ain’t CPF. It’s BLF: you make it yourself.

Naw. Last time I modded a kid from a host, a bunch of villagers came knocking at my door with torches and pitchforks.

Flashlights are an uncommon thing to have in common with my daughter. We both enjoy lights and I get such a kick filming her reviews. After a power outage left her scared in the dark she took a real interest in lights and have several by her bed. I love it.

those lights are nice: well made, appear very rugged and waterproof, simple, small, light, nice light color and pattern.

the only minus is lack of levels and the twisty switch. the light level they chose will run the battery down in half an hour or so.
(though i assume a tail switch would have made it longer)

lumintop tool is a good competitor, only slightly bigger yet has tail switch and 3 light levels, sometimes on sale for $10.

full disclosure: this cost me 8 whole american cents on amazon, so it was practically free. they didn;t ASK for a review but when i wrote one they were very thankful.

This flashlight isn’t trying to “do it all”.
I don’t see comparisons being fair.

IMHO— this light is a robust keychain/ coin pocket light that won’t let you down.
I love the purpose built simplicity.
One mode—no problem. This is a small “last ditch when everything else fails” light.
I don’t want or need the complexity from such a light.
It isn’t the lightest for its size—but it feels robust.
Also— the head is somewhat stiff to twist on. For me this is a plus—because
I am a “buried deep in the pocket” guy— and this gives me more confidence that
the head will not become separated from the body in my pocket,
nor will it accidentally activate.
Not yet sure about the smooth matte finish—which almost looks like paint—
but it won’t stand a chance anyway— because it will be carried in my pocket next to my
Keys.
Wonderfully bright and simple. And feels like you could run it over with your car, and
not do any damage.
If I get larger torches from Orcatorch; I would expect more refined features.
But this one is just right.

PS—Transparency demands that I disclose this WAS a giveaway from
the maker ( cost me 29 cents, I think)
There was no expectation of a review mentioned.

’Zackly. It’s a keychain light, an emergency light, etc. I don’t see anyone grubbling around in their car’s engine compartment with this light… unless they’re stuck on the side of the road in the pouring rain.

Nothing else to say but… ditto!

So you can have your very own bobofett light!

how do folks find these deals?

It was posted here on the forum.

thanks for the tip, I guess I missed the opportunity window.
