Shopping with Arrow

I’m not sure if you guys have come across this site or not, since I’ve been away for a while, but I thought I would mention this. I’ve been doing a bit of shopping on Arrow lately and I’ve been pretty happy with them.

They have a lot of the same products as Digikey and Mouser. It’s a bit of a trial getting used to finding parts but they have a decent supply. Maybe not always as up to date but generally speaking I can find most of the stuff I’m looking for and the prices are usually really good and free shipping too. I’ve bought everything from emitters to diodes from them. They ship fast too. They have a live chat customer service that is good and don’t be afraid to ask for a coupon.

Non-affiliate link (I don’t do them, but I thought I’d say it anyway)

For instance I picked up 25 of these today. (XPGBWT-L1-0000-00LE1) XP-G2 6500k S4’s $1.50 each after the coupon. Their prices on driver components was a little cheaper as well and today it was free overnight for orders over $20.

… are you allowed to post a thread without a light for sale?

I’m not sure, but I could be in trouble.

Edit: that reminds me, now I’m broke again and should drop the price on a light so maybe I can buy more parts to mod more lights so I can sell more lights to buy more parts and buy more hosts and parts for parts. :confounded:

Yep, lots of us have been using them since they started the free shipping last year. I generally find they have the best prices on almost everything and quick shipping.

Only “complaint” would be the massively excessive packaging for the orders. It is not uncommon to get 2-4 large fully packed boxes for a handful of parts costing $10. They easily pay more in shipping costs then the parts are worth but thats not really my problem, I just want the free shipping to stick around.

Yep they have done the same thing with me, big box for a little order.

But who knows, maybe they get one heck of a break no matter what they ship in. I was pretty big into selling guitars for about a decade. If you saw a guitar for sale marked “2nd” or stamped “used” there was about a one in four chance it was me selling it. I would get my guitars delivered via Semi, pallets at a time. Once you get big enough the discounts get very steep. I could ship a strat across the country for $7. You get your own personal shipping sales reps, inkless printers for free, all kinds of other discounts, insurance claims made super easy and other incentives, things that nobody else ever sees.

They could be using it just to gain a customer base and then stop though. But like you said, I hope they keep it up. It will certainly keep me coming back.

Do they have the xpl w2 I looked but can’t seem to see what I’m looking for

It is hard to search their site for sure. The best way is to find the part you want on digikey or mouser and then copy/paste the part number.

In the case of the xp-l2. Search “XPLB” to pull up all the XP-L2 options, then select in stock in the options at the top to narrow it down.

Thanks for the tip.
