LumaPower MRV Flashlight Tube

Does anyone here know what size led can be put into the pill from this flashlight tube:

http://www.manafont.com/product_info.php/lumapower-mrv-led-flashlight-tube-no-led-emitter-p-5646

I have a Q5 version of this light and to me it seems that the pill in the above can take

a much larger led than in my Q5, where the led (and hole) is 14.5 mm.

I have read that the Manafont tube can take a 17 mm driver. By looking at the photos I get

the impression that the hole for the led is just as wide. Has anyone this light and can measure?

I don't have an MRV either but it looks to me like a 16mm star would fit.

Other threads say, like you that its 14mm'ish though.

I'd be inclined to get a 14mm and use a purpose built insulating ring, cut from a plastic bottle top, to ensure centering.

I have bought the tube, but not received it yet. Plan to put a XML in it.

I hope this will fit: http://www.kaidomain.com/product/details.S009877 or

this: http://www.kaidomain.com/product/details.S009989

otherwise I must find a friend with a lathe that can widen the hole a bit.

I have not seen any xml on a 14 mm base. Maybe I have to file the ledbase

down to 14mm.
