MiBoxer C2-3000

An interesting charger that makes big claims - the MiBoxer C2-3000.
It comes with a 12v mains adapter, so it is low voltage inside the charger and it does not get hot.
It will charge Li-Ion and NiMh batteries.
It will charge all of the battery sizes stated on the box, and also 32650.
It will detect the battery type and apply the appropriate charge voltage.
It will charge automatically according to the internal resistance of the battery, some typical examples:
ICR 16340 - 0.18A
ICR 18650 - 0.51A
VTC5A 18650 - 0.8A
ICR 32650 - 1.05A
AAA NiMh - 0.12A
D NiMh - 0.8A
The current can also be set manually: 0.2A, 0.3A, 0.5A, 0.8A. 1A and 1.5A for Li-Ion and 0.1A, 0.2A, 0.3A, 0.5A, 0.8A and 1A for NiMh
There is one button on the front of the charger, a short press selects which slot is monitored, a long press accesses the manual current setting, and a backlight comes on when the button is pressed.

The display shows all the information you could want:
C1/C2 indicates which slot is being monitored
The battery symbol flashes when the battery is fully charged
The % of charge is shown, and below that the remaining time (fairly accurate)
In the centre of the top line, the battery type is shown, and below that, the capacity restored. In the bottom right, the display scrolls through internal resistance, charge current and voltage.

At 0.5A manual charge current, the actual charge current was spot on 0.5A. At 1.5A, the actual current was 1.46A.
It pretty much does what it says on the box (not sure about saving the charge curves - I haven’t figured out what this means yet).
This charger was a free sample from MiBoxer, and I’m happy to pass it on for someone to try for themselves. If you send me a message on facebook (Facebook) , I’ll pick a name at random.
