Manker E zero 2, not E oh 2 ":o)

Received mine yesterday. Wow! Really happy with this one. May be my favorite AAA light now, and there are many to compete with. Only problem with it is it makes me want another one, different color, different tint. Great job on this one Manker!

Can someone tell me what the red looks like, light, dark, pink? Thanks

Hey how are you doing man?

A little discussion about the red colour here, post #21: Review: Manker E02. 1xAAA - XPG3 - L shapped
Hope it helps. Cheers!

my red one looks identical to the one shown in the link posted by hIKARInoob

Yes I really do like mine also especially with a 10440 in it. Very bright.

Hmmm, more please. Do you get all the modes on a 10440? Perhaps I’ll give it a go as I got a great price on my E02. Thanks.

The red looks more like wine stain or squashed strawberry to me…
Not sure i like it… i’d rather have it plain red or purple then this hard to describe half tint, but i’ll probably change my mind.

One mode only bright! I don’t know exactly how many lumens with a 10440 but I would guess about 500.

I feel the same. But then again, it ain’t black, it ain’t grey… The light itself sure is wonderful, maybe I should just embrace this reddish colour?

compare picture. E02 is slightly deeper red than convoy s2+ to my eye.

^ The Manker looks so much nicer to my eyes. Any chance this has to do with the light source used for this picture? It seems on the warmer side; around 4000K perhaps? So maybe is it not so representative?

I had a red one, it is a nice colour red, gave it away and bought one again, I’m loving it.

It seems like Manker did a good job on this light, I have not found flaws, it looks good, is small, is a special class (AAA,side-emitting,tail magnet), has a great led (high CRI 219C in my case), good output on Eneloops and alkalines, and a pleasant well thought-out e-switch user interface (eat that, Astrolux!)

The light is great as it is but for a flashoholic there is a fun icing on the cake: the light lets you choose your lowest level, you can choose from 15 levels, a true moon to a decent low, and it is memorised.

A question though, there is an electronic lock-out (as well as mechanical by unscrewing the tail) and I do not understand the manual how to enable it. Anyone?

Ha, if it was the color red in that picture, I would already own it! That is so far different than the picture in Trev’s thread  Is it difficult for a manufacturer to make a nice red flashlight? Or how about this E02 in navy, or hunter green? Guessing ordinary black is popular.

I thought it was the same procedure as any other Manker, meaning single click-double click-triple click.
Explanation can also be found in this video for the MK34: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQSQjDjfDCo

(starting at 4 minutes 43 seconds)

I forgot what is the light source when I took the picture last week. Personally, I like E02 deeper/darker red color better than Convoy S2+. E02 & TIP’s red color almost identical.

Got it, thanks, I thought I tried that but in any case failed at it, it works now (my first Manker).

Natural sunlight, WB 5000k

There it’s almost red in natural sunlight… at least on my computer screen. A slightly darker shade of red - not as bright as a firetruck. I like it better that way.

Maybe I ought to have look @ that video. I locked out by accident & had a heck of a time getting the lockout off. From now on I think I’ll stick to using the mechanical lockout :person_facepalming:

Also, is anyone else not being able to reliably get into engineering mode with a click x 4? (It’s probably just me though.) + is one supposed to be able to adjust every level by entering that mode? So far I’ve just been able to only adjust the moonlight level.

I generally have no problem getting into engineering mode to adjust the moonlight level. that is the only level that is adjustable in that mode. Or any mode for that matter . . .

Oh man this is killing me! Of course I don’t need it, but want to try this light out badly…

Anyone know of any codes or coupons for this light? I know it like 20 bucks on Amazon. Amazon code would be great as I have several gift cards there. A couple bucks off would be nice.

The AA version is gonna be a great addition also…
