weird nc mh20 behavior

I run it mostly in the low mode (2nd mode) with a diffuser. When the the battery is getting low the output ramps up. When I turn it off and on again in moonlight it stays in moonlight but when I bump it up low it ramps up again. Changing the battery with a charged one fixes the issue. Anybody else noticed this?

Nobody? I know this was kind off a popular light , so I guess somethings up with the driver….

Hey mate i dont own so i cant tell you for sure but could it be warning you that the voltage is low? Or its a driver glitch when the voltage gets to low the driver needs more current to make up for the voltage loss and its not regulating the current as well?

Huh I didn’t think of that (using more current to make up for voltage loss). Still kinda messed up though, I don’t want it using more current when battery is getting low. It really goes from low to high output, so runtime is reduced big time. For such an expensive light they should have thought it out better.
