After bought Convoy C8 (with U2 – 1A and 7135×8), I’ll want buy an other flashlight smallest (but only with 18650 battery).
Which model do you advice me (very best brightness)?

I really love the convoy S2+ (the colord versions with metal switch)
get it with a pocket clip. Great EDC.

If you want some throwiness, then you have to get an S2.

If you want pure flood, get an S2+ or S3.

I don't own any others in the S Series.

My S2+ triple is so amazingly useful it's hard to accurately describe. I have Nichia 219s, an HF17 driver with the killer lucid driver firmware, and both 18650 and 18350 tubes.

With the big battery on turbo it will light up my whole backyard, and stuff 100' away is clearly visible.

You can adjust the moonlight mode down to a fraction of an amp, so dim that it's really only useful in a very dark room with dark-adjusted eyes.

Excellent temp control. Excellent battery life when used judiciously.

I carry it always.

The M1 and M2 are abit diffrent from the normal 1” convoy s2/3/5/6/8.

Very nice finish and quality.

Ive modded one of my s2+ convoys with a nichia 219c, with the right gasket the beam is perfect with a beautiful tint.
Due to the smaller footprint of the 219c die (3535) it also throws quite nice for an S2+, for me it is the perfect combo, throwyness, tint, output.

If you like a higher output, you might go for an XPL for example.

I love my Astrolux S1/BLF A6, but I’ve recently received parts just like feralcomprehension’s above and can’t wait to build up my own S2+ triple.

If cost isn’t a concern, I’d mention my favorite edc light: Zebralight sc600w MkIII HI. It’s small, powerful and so very well built. It oughta be for that kind of money.

Like the Convoy S2+ and S3, it's extremely floody.

I just got mine in the mail yesterday…it’s now my favorite EDC! I got deal on it but it’s worth paying full price!

Short tube S2+ triple and Astrolux S1 are my previous fav EDCs.

Jaxman E2L, a triple with very good TIR lenses.

Jaxman M8, mini C8 style thrower.

If you haven’t owned a Jaxman yet it’s definitely worth owning.The build quality is suprisingly high.

In 1 inch tube I am for XPL Hi. Good enought for indoor and outdoor aplication.
Also dedomed XPL HI version do not have big tint shift compare to XPL and XML2.
I have XPL HI in C8, Eagle Eye X5R and I am comparinng with XPL in BLF A6, Eagle Eye X2R.
I like Convoy brand but must admit that Eagle Eye driver do not use PWM which is advantage.

astrolux S1 is good, i don;t consider it small
manker u11 is good, small enough
dqg tiny 18650 IV is very small, but after the S1, i don;t like the UI, and i had 2 of them break so cannot recommend

also cannot recommend 16340 lights or 18350 lights, i don;t consider the batteries to hold enough juice

I really like the S2+ hardware, but viscerally loathe the blink-on-low to select mode-groups. That just bugs the piss out of me. Nails on a chalkboard. Roseanne Barr’s voice. Chewing on aluminum foil. THAT bad. I’d just reflash the damned driver if it wouldn’t require major surgery on the light. I “retired” all my S2+es until I get rid of that blink-on-low.

The best UI I’ve seen lately is in the Zanflare F1. If you don’t mind a greenish tint from the AR glass (the CW much less so than the NW; in both cases the AR glass seems to “warm” the color slightly), then it’s the best UI I’ve seen. F/L/M/H, doubleclick for instant turbo (“flare”; unflares down to high after 30sec or whatever). Blinkies are hidden and require a longpress to get to.

Great quality (seriously, really nice), built-in usb recharging, something like 1200lm on turbo (900ish on high?), very very well thought-out design, and a great UI that doesn’t annoy the piss out of me in one way or another.
