Well, Fmc is right probably… but on most lights it is simple. Usually held in with a retainer ring. Unscrew that, and measure the PCB and look for a replacement the same size. Could even post here the measurements and/or model of light and I am sure someone could help you
You said half click for momentary and reverse clicky and got mixed up :weary:
Funny thing is that I’ve got about 3 drawers of awesome budget lights - all with multiple modes and features - and now I need something simple like one of those damn Streamlights I despise so much.
Yep, easy to replace the switch if you have an existing light you like.
This is what you want, but they are sold out at the moment. Solarforce used to sell a replacement switch kit with the shims, but don’t seem to list it any more. they do have a special on these though, which you could pinch the guts out of.
Solorforce L2M. Takes P90 drop-ins, so grab a bright 1-mode XP-L and you’re set.
Can then get P90s in red or green, UV or IR, multiple modes, whatever you want. Or build your own to order.
Also comes with a quite nice FC switch with momentary-on function, and a protruding button that’s easy to reach and activate, even if you were wearing oven-mitts.
to get the C8 to only one mode you can use Biscotti firmware driver and configure it to one mode
or simply do a solder bridge on the driver from battery + to the 7135 pwm pin to force them to 100%
