Xtar's new WK007 flashlight.

Their website says the WK007 moonlight mode can burn for 33 days at 5 lumens. If that is correct is that not the most efficient flashlight in the world? Maybe it is a typo and is really .5 lumens. If it is 5 lumens for 33 days I have to buy a few.

Thank you XtarFlashlight for answering the question regarding moonlight mode. 2 lumens it is.

Trevi_Lux I am just going to have to test the WK007 on moonlight mode to check the run time. Time lapse photography will tell.

Lexel you understand the math of electronics. Maybe the electronic engineering of the flashlight will be superb and not start to dim till day 7.

Is a mistake, obviously. Smile
(I have doubts about really 33 days, 0.5 lumens…)

WK007 use AA battery?

2 lumens for 33 days….are you sure or is a “theorical estimated data”?

2 lumens – battery AA – 33 days….sorry, this 3 data are not compatible….

So the battery has 3.7V 800mAh, so about 3Wh
Lets say 85% driver efficiency, depends how much the MCU draws compared to the LED and
So we got 2.5Wh

The best LED efficiency is 200l/W

So we got 500 Lumenhours theoretically, but you waste a lot voltage from the battery
So you end up with 400 l*h

At 2 lumens you get 200 hours

To get 33 days the brightness will drop to a lot less than 2 lumens for most of the time

I understand that this Xtar WK007 have a lot of more efficient than the Zebralight, congratulations…..

Perhaps 2 lumens when starts, but how many lumens after 4 or 5 days…..?

I will humbly test the Xtar Wk007 flashlight.
Part 1 of test will be regular type review.
Part 2 will be time lapse Gif of flashlight in moonlight mode.

I have a question for everyone interested in the WK007 flashlight.

“How would James Bond use the flashlight in your opinion”?

Blinding bad guys? Deactivating bombs deep in underground caves? Sending S.O.S signal for help?

We need speculation please.

James Bond would use it as Martini glass, shaken but not zoomed Big Smile

Bond would use the wk007 moonlight to illuminate some pretty lady he "accidentally" stumbled upon in a hotel corridor at night!

Just for a moment... Okay I may stay a little longer

Yeah ANSI FL1 spec allows the output to drop to 10% to count. So if it starts at 2 lumens it will end at 0.2 lumens. Who knows how soon it will drop to that level without a measurement or actual graph.

Would you like to try again, we have fixed the issue from our website.

Still not working for me. tried different browsers as well.
But, generally speaking, I have quite a few issues with TLD .cc; my yahoo inbox can not save any contacts with .cc as part of the address.

I thought my adblocker is the issue but disabling it won’t help either.
