USB rechargeable light for maintenance

Hello

I will buy 6 lights for my 6 colleagues as they all have worked very hard this year que i want to offer them à gift as i am their n+1 and my boss dont give me any budget for annual salary rise.

We are doing preventive and corrective maintenance all nights on week-end shifts.
What we need
Small budget like 25-30€
Small light like S2 or other edc
No need for ipx8
USB micro port because they dont have any Lipo chargers
No throw needed usually 2meters maximum
Magnet could be useful at the tailcap
Small clip for pocket carrying
Impact resistant
Small number of modes like Moonlight 50% and 100%…

I edc olight S1 cu edition and thats great 500lm turbo is sometime really helpful but need a special charger for rcr123 battery

Thanks for your inputs

Florian

PS sorry for my bad english…awful french…

Hi!

First I thought about this: http://www.gearbest.com/led-flashlights/pp_604347.html
But then I tested it - and for close up work that light is too bright.

I think, the Nitecore Tip could be what you are searching for. Except for the magnet
Also small enough to put it in your mouth to have both hands free

I would advise the EagleEye X2R, about 15$ for a 18650 tube-shaped S2+ lookalike flashlight. Micro-USB rechargeable, about 2A output so in the 700 lumens range.
Basically it’s an S2+ with USB charging board.

The 300lm of the tip will sometime be not enough
I have one on the way from gearbest for testing and certainly will be my wife keychain light

I just check and eagle eye x2r seems very interesting. But no clip avalaible in the box ? Do you know the turbo runtime?

It will depend on the battery you’ll use.
Gearbest is selling some 3000mAh Samsung or LG batteries so you’ll get about 1h30 of runtime on High.
There’s no timeout for High mode, the driver is a simple L-M-H one
The Convoy deep carry clip is compatible with it too

OK no battery inside ?
I need to pick one when buying?

I could add the AA powered lights as AA batteries are in stock with our maintenance spare parts.

I Saw the utorch 01 for example

Hello

I finally get the flash sale GB for jetbeam E10R
I will need to buy 14500 batteries
I hope the UI is good…
Runtime is enough but it lacks a middle mode between 46lm and 650lm.

I’ll also recommend the EagleEye X2R. I bought one for my non-flashlight-fanatic wife and added a protected Panasonic NCR18650GA cell. It runs and runs and is easy to work with. Never gets too hot. Nice price to boot.

The number of recharegable AA lights with over 300lm will be low… Regular AA won’t be doing that without being multiple cell or having extremely short runtime. Almost anything good will probably be lithium ion based.

Zanflare F1, usb charging but no cell included. Get a nice panny-B or sanny-A to go-with.

Sofirn SP31, no charging, but includes a decent cell (ie, not a CrapFire cell) and external charger.

Ooh, if you need a magnetic base to work with, would you consider a headlight?

The Boruit RJ-02 is nice (and cheap), has built-in usb charging, ramps up/down when you hold down the power button, and has this kewl wave-on/wave-off infrared feature for great hands-free use.

Uses standard 20mm TIR lenses, so you can buy wide-angle for flood or narrow-angle for throw and everything in-between.

I bought like 6 of them and kept 4, still beating on my first one almost daily and it’s still going strong. Comes out of the headband so you can “palm” it if you want to. Or instead of just sticking it to a piece of metal, it lights up whatever you’re looking at!

Quite nice, actually.

I have one of the Boruit RJ-02’s. I did find a small ‘glitch’- if your head is close to something, it can turn on and off by itself when in wave on/wave off mode. Small issue, for sure.

How about "WUBEN E346 300LM CREE XP-G2 LED Flashlight" they are around $18 and come with a battery and have a built in microusb charging ports.

Also Gearbest has discount codes on non sale items.

John.

I’ve actually used that to my advantage when I had both hands “occupied”.
