Shipping _ Banggood & GearBest _ Results are in

OK, the results are in from the unscientific, one order for each shipping method test I did.

One package per order, all with same or very similar small lights. (JetBeam Jet u – AAA or Jetbeam JET – I MK – AA)

All orders placed the same day within minutes of each other. Here are the results. Fastest to slowest.
……………………………………………….

1. GearBest / PRIORITY LINE / USA Express / International Bridge (IB) / $2.92
Tracking # provided & it worked flawlessly.
10 Days
——————————
2. BangGood / FREE Shipping
NO Tracking number
13 Days
——————————
3. BangGood / Priority Direct Mail / $1.33
Tracking # provided & it NEVER worked at all
14 Days
——————————
4. GearBest / PRIORITY LINE / USA Line / USEXPLO [seems to be FED EX] / $1.64
Tracking # provided & it worked flawlessly
17 Days
——————————
5. GearBest / SHIPPING FREE / Malaysia Post Unregistered / Azerbaijan Air Mail
No Tracking
34 days ….. Facepalm .. Wink
——————————

As expected by me from numerous previous orders…. number one is no surprise. Day in day out, an order from GearBest that is sent by way of International Bridge will get here (USA) quicker.

As shown also, FREE Shipping from Banggood is EXCELLENT, as far as I am concerned.

To me, these are the only two choices that make any sense at this point in time. YMMV

Thanks for sharing, things are little different with EU, Registered shipping with BG 1,30$ usually takes 20 days, unregistered up to 2 months because they are using cheapest way to send it like Seychelles post! On the other side GB registered shipping from 2-5$ depending on item takes 2 weeks, and the weirdest thing is that unregistered with NLpost in 99% of the time takes 8-10 calendar days !!! So I am mostly using unregistered option without any problems in 60+ orders with GB.

You know teach… the Japanese hunt for whales for “scientific purpose” right?
… Did you just buy a whole bunch of flashlights… for the sake of… “shipping research”?
… I mean… You know… this kind of research… is pretty important… I acknowledge…
… Perhaps… I should conduct such research myself… as well… I mean… I would like to contribute… to shipping science myself…
I salute you brother teacher! Beer

After more than 5 years (and still ongoing) of ordering online from ANY vendor, this is my conclusion:

—- Always factor-in the consistency of shipping in-consistence.

I hope your next package is a pleasant surprise… Beer

Yes my BLF brother…. I took one for the team so as to complete this highly unscientific survey.

I felt it was the selfless thing to do… all in the interest of research of course. Big Smile
(Especially since those little buggers were on somekind of sale cheaper than I have ever seen them. Wink )

I totally agree, next time might be totally different. Thumbs Up

Although I must say, for me; over the past 18 months…. International Bridge shipments have been very consistant. Ranging from 9 to 12 days. (to my USA address)

Yes this!
I think Gearbest reminds automatically after +/- 2 months nowadays.
AliExpress has a good notification system so one cannot miss ending of buyers protection period
Idk how Banggood does it

those results seem much better than what I typically get, a lot faster in your case.

I just now double checked superhero, to make sure I had not screwed up.I had not……
…… No tracking provided on this one at all.

There was tracking, as mentioned; on the “paid shipment”….. but it never worked at all. (this time anyway) Wink

The latest order from GearBest is comical, good mind you; but comical none the less compared to the last FREE SHIPPING from GearBest.

I ordered two USB Soldering Irons. Small package, just under $10 for both, & FREE SHIPPING because there was no rush at all.

Package got here in 13 days and there was a Tracking Number that worked flawlessly the complete time.

Just goes to show once again, there is no rhyme or reason much of the time when ordering from across the pond……. Wink

Just ordered something from BG. They included Priority Direct Mail shipping at no extra charge, maybe because of the value of the order? In any case, I received a tracking number, but I’m not sure who the carrier is. Google thinks it’s USPS, but the number is incomplete and there is no status. Maybe it will take more time before a status is posted?

My prior shipping experience with BG was not very good. I paid extra for expedited shipping and it took about 40 days to get it. Hope this one isn’t as bad.

I always pay extra for shipping (top tier) because you get a tracking number. I’ve done free and if your package gets lost then your SOL.

I have found that of these tracking sites the PackageRadar usually tracks when many other fail.
I think they also have an Android app but that is only in Russian which I dont speak so I only use the main site.
At least the website is in English.

One other site to try if else fails is:
Shenzhen BEISHISHENG International Transportation Co.,Ltd
http://sky56.cn/english/track/index

This has been finding many of my orders PostNL Netherlands Post shown as carrier but the actual site not finding anything by tracking code yet. These tracking codes show like NL12345… , RS123… etc. and Sky56 seems to be the first part carrier and PostNL starts to track and show their own codes much later.

Yes, because it will take a while before FedEx actually gets a hold of the package. The package first needs to reach US, and as it turns out, my latest BG order is being shipped by Yun Express, which is some local carrier in China that’s going to deliver it to FedEx in the US.

When you look up your tracking number on FedEx.com, it should show you a reference number. That reference number is the related tracking number of the local carrier in China, and you can punch in that reference number at 17track.net or PackageRadar.com (or similar site) to see its progress while it’s still in China and before FedEx shows any tracking info on the US end.

Average shipping to me in S Africa from both banggood and gearbest is 9 weeks, tracking shows at least half that time is after arrival in the country. Sad

Beam me up!
