UV flashlight for parts inspection

Hello

I need to do parts inspection in preventive maintenance and we cannot turn off the lights from the ceil.
So i need a powerful UV flashlight 18650 or 26650 batteries
Is there something better than the S2+ ??
here are the specs

Brand: Convoy
Model: S2+
Flashlight Type: UV
Emitters: Nichia 365UV
Emitters Quantity: 1
Lumens Range: 1-200Lumens
Power: 3W
Circuitry: 700mA
Battery Type: 18650

P60/Nichia NVSU233A U365 UV

i also saw the JAXMAN U1 but don’t know the output mw ?

how/why is the drop-in better than a complete convoy light with the same LED?

Not necessarily 'the same LED' --> Nichia

Probably different driver...

Be warned: there have been reports that the Convoy S2+ UV can overheat, which drastically and permanently degrades the LED.

See here, for example:

A mod with a triple led board and triple reflector (not TIR) would be powerful enough while being safe for the fragile LED.
I would use this flashlight as a host with its triple reflector, and then a triple Noctigon MCPCB with some Nichias UV on it. Driving the 3 LEDs at 1800mA total would be safe for the LEDs yet providing 3 much times UV than the S2.
Of course, you would want to make a classic triple with a TIR optic but they’re made of PMMA which block 365nm wavelength

Just got one of the Convoy S2+ for fluorescent minerals and it is great, really bright. X3 I like the more is better approach. What about heat buildup with 3 emitters? There is already talk of the Convoy S2 overheating.

Well the Convoy S2+ does overheat because the emitter is driven with too much current, and that emmitter is really fragile.
But if you drive it correctly and put 3 emmitters in the same light, it may be safer…or you would have to find a bigger light for 3 emmitters.

Nitecore CU6 ???
That’s what I own. Maybe a little more money but much easier to get.
