Review: Sofirn SP32 960 lumen light

Very nice complete package!
Good feel to the light. Easily the 960 claimed lumens (when compared to my other similarly rated lights). Really like the direct access to moonlight (which is NOT included in the normal mode selection cycle….I really like that idea….pretty sure none of my other lights have that). Mode memory to get right back to the last used mode (not including moonlight, because it is only selectable with a hold-from-off button push). It does get hot when on Turbo, but that’s to be expected in a light this size AND it steps the turbo down to a very usable High level after a reasonable period of time, and that mode does not get too hot to hold in my opinion. Tailstands very well to use as a “lamp” in a dark area.
Included charger wasn’t the fastest I’ve seen but charged the included battery to just under 4.2v, which is fairly optimal for 18650 cells like this one. I really like the beam pattern, good broad hot spot with usable spill. I tested the low voltage protection and after a lot of use, the light started blinking in bursts of 3 blinks to let you know the battery was getting low and needed recharging….BUT still had access to some of the lower modes for a bit. Really nice that it doesn’t just CUT OFF like some lights will. The clip seems good and sturdy.
In the pics of beams, the Sofirn is on the left in all pics. The beam is not quite a Neutral white, but it is definitely not the starkest white beam i have (which is why put the first pic there….as you can see it appears more neutral in that pic). Pics with other lights I have for size comparison.
