CRX Concept IIII - Carbon Fibre Mule + Red

Here’s the final piece of the carbon fibre square concept set, it has a Cree XP-G3 centre emitter on DTP MCPCB and four 3mm red emitters operated by a mercury tilt switch at around 30° so depending on which way the light is held, tilted or rotated they will be active or not. This mode is mostly used with the XP-G3 on moonlight level.

Powered by a 16340 or cr123 cell with reverse clicky switch 3 modes and ARC glass this mule is cool

Yep.
Creative and clever .

Now that you’re out of carbon fiber, I’m wondering if you would consider making a larger light sometime. You are the sultan of small , the monarch of the minuscule, the duke of the diminutive, but I think you can and should go bigger occasionally.

Woah, you’re right, this is cool
So did you salvage the mercury switch from a room thermostat or is there a source for new ones? (and smaller).

Hey, I have made a couple of 18650 lights :stuck_out_tongue: , but you’re right enough about larger lights, I just don’t have much use for anything bigger than pocket carry or small lights dotted around the house. One day I’ll surprize y’all with a huge build

ps- I still have about 200mm of CF square tube

You can get 3mm & 5mm switches on #bay, think that was a 3mm I used.
Does the video work?

A mercury tilt switch? Awesome! Very clever.

Here’s what I see with your video:

The top one works well showing how the red LEDs turn on, but I get an error with the bottom one.

Thanks, the top is a gif.
Think it’s fixed.

Yes, it works now and good music too.

Prodigy remix I did

This is like going to the spa after reading the quote the bloat thread
