Acebeam X80 Review. (12x XHP50.2, + RGBUV) 25,000-ish lumens

Hello fellows. I don’t post here as much as I used to… but I still am a flashlight nut. Going Gear sent me the X80 a few weeks ago to do a review on. And here it is. You get runtimes, output measurements, and more. I started throwing a lux meter in my runtime tests, so now you have a number to go along with the clock… some people used to question why I did runtime time lapse tests- so hopefully this adds usefulness to them. I didn’t mention tint much… but tint is a cool white… the spill is sorta bluish and the center is a little more neutral. I’ve never had a problem with Acebeam tints- especially when you use the light outside. My videos are a fairly good real world representation of what the tint looks like when using it outdoors like one should. Thanks for watching, and hit me up with any questions.

Ha nice!
Long awaited info!
Can’t watch now on the phone but o curious how long it can actually do those crazy high output.
Thanks for now, got to get to a computer

Man, “mhan”, nice review! I usually watch them till the end
Besides the numbers you present (runtime, lumen, candela, temperature…) I guess the use in real environment is one of the most valuable things you can present, so that we can have a real feel of the light (tint, beam)! Thanks, great work!

The end part of the video has a “black screen” for some minutes, I guess!
One question only: can one “escape” the loop you mentioned to avoid using the special modes (RGB, UV), or do we have to go through them all when we press the switch?

Thanks agains and keep the nice work :+1:

Nice review as always. What’s up with the glamour shot lens flare on the ui section J.J.? Lol.

You cannot escape the RGBs or UVs. So if you use a special mode then turn it off… then it will be on the last mode you used that is not special. Regular modes are the colors and LMH. Special modes are strobe, ultralow, turno and turbo max. I am working on cutting that portion of the video out. The black screen at the end was a mistake. oops!

Thanks man! I hope I have answered most questions people have had about this light.

I don’t know exactly what was happening there, but I like it!

Sorry, I messed up with the names of specials and not special modes! :person_facepalming:
Turning it OFF is the “escape” then! Thanks for your answer
And nice yard you have to make the reviews !!

It has been a long time ago that I watched one of your video reviews. But then again, you did not make too many of them lately. Too busy breaking in a new sidekick, i guess. Yeah that is a rather time consuming pastime. But it will be worth it! Oh, and I did enjoy the review.

Love watching all your reviews. Can’t believe how small the X80 actually is.

Thanks!

Your reviews are the best!

I also love your reviews. So much good, clear and comparative information in one spot.

I also love the jokes, jabs and double entendres. Keep them coming.

Are you going to review any of the recent releases that are so popular around here? Hope so.

And I also watch until the end and love how you actually use the high-dollar knives you get.

I watch all your video on lights, knives don’t interest me as much

Also, can I request a circumference measurement for both lights and knives? How about foot/lbs of gripability between knife clips and khaki or demin? We’re moving into the fall so nylon track pant data won’t be necessary.

Thanks.

Great video. Always a pleasure

Thanks man! I’ve been doing a few reviews a month… But I’ve been doing a lot of knife stuff lately. Some expensive, some cheap- sort of what viewers and I are interested in.

It’s so tiny. I didn’t realize until I was holding it.

Thank you!

Like the Emisar? Not at this time. I am on the list for the gigathrower and the Q8… but I’m not a tester- so when those are released expected a few reviews then. I am getting an X7R, and maybe the Imalent 32k lumen light too… and also the Nitecore SRT9

Thanks! They didn’t interest me much until I started buying a few.

You’re one of the ones! More tests, more data. Then others are like- your videos are too long! Ha ha.

Remembers me of those old war movies were the leader of the pack (usually a colonel with an RAF moustache) says: gentlemen circumcize your watches.

Just watched, your Maglite/vestureofblood video also. that was your best.

Dont knuckle under, the more Tude/irreverent the better. Swing for the fences your not running for office (are you?)
