With solarforce discontinuing the L2r for the foreseeable future, what other mod-able 2 AA hosts exist out there?
Maybe the Superfire 501c, batteries would rattle , because the tube is too wide... but the length is just about perfect. I solved this problem with an aluminum tube (15mm inner / 18mm outer diameter).

There's a Dereelight 2 x AA P60 host, but it's not really budget.
A SolarForce L2m plus a 18650 should do the same, just like I did with a regular L2 plus a cr123 extender. But it rattles, that’s true. I just use a piece of paper folded as a tube as the spacer.
