How long for Capacitors to discharge from LED PSU?

I have a 50W LED work light that failed and I want to change the power supply but am not sure how long it holds power?  Is the safe way to leave it plugged into the wall outlet for 24 hours with the power switch turned in the off position so that the caps can drain through the ground?  Just don't want to get zapped!

I once got zapped by a bung compact flouro bulb that had not been in a socket for about a MONTH. Tread lightly.
I was dismantling it to see what was inside.

To many flashlights, too many batteries. Wife is going to kill me Smile

Don't worry , from the last few years the discharge resistors for the capacitors in the PSUs is a MUST , and even the chinese  are using this method in all their products that are using Leds ( even in the cheapest...) .

But if you feel that is not enough assuring , just short the input pins ,( and the output) , with an insulated screwdriver , this should do the trick...

Also , you can do this for the pins of the capacitors in the primarily circuit (usually rated at 400 V) .

Thanks cera.  Yes it is a cheap PSU from China so I wasn't sure!  Will look for the IO pins and see if I can find them, thanks!
