Interesting looking light on Taobao; any clues?

I'm still looking for a moded version of the brilliant little Sipik SK68, and I came across this link http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=8989647145 in a "flood-to-throw" thread. Looks like an interesting flashlight but it's all in Chinese and I can't make my computer translate Undecided. Anyone recognize the model? Do you think it looks worth investigating? I'm still trying to decode the price..

It looks similar to this light.

google chrome translated a lot of the page for me. i'm starting to like chrome more w/ firefox updating every 6 weeks and addons not working...

hopefully we'll see a budget, and quality version of this light - great idea behind it but can't imagine paying jetbeam's prices for it. I'll probably carry one flooder and one thrower and the extra $40 in my pockets instead

Have a look at the 2 flashlights in Budgeteer's thread.

I bought both of them and actually like the cheaper one better. They are like a Sipik SK68 that has grown up just enough to take an 18650 cell. Just right for me to drop into a jacket or pants pocket while I night fish in a small boat.

I own lights from Fenix, Xeno, SolarForce and others that cost more, but this one has been getting used a lot. And when it dies I will only have lost $6.61 USD

thanks, couldn't help myself at that price

That can't be right, can it? And who on earth are "send Bennett?" Thanks for the translation dthrckt, but it's almost as baffling as the Chinese version! Are you saying it's a Jetbeam? Model seems to be B-531 but no luck on google..

@ stevetexas: yes, ordered one of those yesterday on your recommendation! For that price it seemed silly not to. But can't afford the same "what the heck" experement with this B-531 at over £40. Still curious about it though..

@ 1320:

"It looks similar to this light."

A bit, maybe. But something about that Tabao light looks better, to me at least. Could be wrong.

it seems you have a good eye - they've got a video of some guy taking a saw to the thing to show coating toughness.

Also some good beamshots on that page - they show t6, r5 and q5 focused.

https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/1922 right here at BLF. It's a "Send Nits"(?!) not "Send Bennett". Still only a little info on it though.

I think it comes with eggroll and Won Ton Soup.

But my Chinese isn't very good- I may be confusing some of the little pagoda looking letters..........

I've seen this light somewhere else in English, can't remember where.

I've been looking for a cool state of the art aspheric with super throw with a rotating control and a few other things, but no one makes it yet- also someone needs to figure out how NOT to just project the emitter image- I'd settle for that though, with enough focus and throw- but aspherics aren't too popular.

Not much R@D, maybe the Lensers, but they are underdriven IMO and no LI-IONs or 18650s to drive the LEDS hard.

NITS - seems even sillier

I think I smell

You too?

I love the smell of SPAM in the morning.

Wait, what? I hate the smell of SPAM 24/7. Only crazy people (and Hawaiians) like SPAM.
