Quick question, everyone. I dropped my BLF A6 and ended up busting the bezel off and dedoming the LED. No visible damage to the bezel or body, but it just won’t screw back on. So, I was going to order a body, a bezel, and another complete BLF A6 from BG, but I can’t find bezels sold. Any tips on where I can find one? Thanks in advance.
Might be easier to just salvage the driver and keep the tail cap. Obviously something is bent if it won’t screw back together.
I’d say you’re probably right. Looks like I have a donor light now. I’d say I easily got my money out of this thing considering the abuse it has received.
I would use some lubricant and screw it back, if you can screw it off it has to be screwing back with equal force
I’ve tried. I even took the lense out to make sure nothing was interfering and it won’t screw back on even with a touch of diletric grease. It’s sliding over the threads and doesn’t catch at all. It’s weird that I can’t see any damage or that the bezel doesn’t look out of round. I guess the threads just got damaged.
Try winding the bezel backwards, unscrewing, while pushing it hard up against the head. If you feel the threads drop into each other stop immediately and screw the two parts together.
Thanks for the replies, everyone. I tried reverse threading and waiting for the click before. Great suggestion. I’m a former mechanic, so I’ve tried some tricks and still a no-go. I haven’t tried JB Weld yet, though. Hmmmmmm. I do have that laying around.Good suggestion, though. I appreciate it.
