Was going to get one of the new Convoy C8 XPL models. Curious if anyone can tell me the difference between the standard black and gray versions versus the clear anodized one.
Is it simply the look? Different internals?

The new silver ones are running a different firmware (biscotti). This means you have a much more programmable light, and lots of modes to choose from. I’ve bought 2 of them, and the biscotti firmware is really nice. Great user-interface.
It’s a little tricky to program (you need to have all the choices written down), but once you program it the way you like, it makes for a very good “custom” light.
