Hi guys, I am on here to do a bit of research since I am looking for a good headlight to mount to a helmet for night time riding in the desert. I rolled the dice on a cheap unit from Amazon to find that the LED’s were not genuine cree and the waterproofing was so terrible it failed the first time it got wet.
I am looking for a reliable, spot pattern that uses an external power pack/extension cable. Looking for a good focused spot pattern as this will be a supplement to a main headlight system on the motorcycle. Budget is under $100 and I would like it to last for 3 hours run time. Any suggestions?
Nitecore has a new one with external battery pack coming out soon. Most if not all of the other ones with external battery packs are not that great in quality. The Zanflare is a bike light, not a headlamp. You might be better off going with a bike light and making your own mounting system.
