WTB XPE2 or XPG2 light powered by single AA battery with only 1 mode

Hi folks, I would need a recommendation for affordable but decent quality flashlight powered by single AA battery (no 14500 support needed) that has clicky switch (not twisty) and has only one mode, power on - power off. 130-160 lumens, would be perfect, floody beam would also be nice.
Its for my mother.

Thanks

(apparently they changed the former url to the critter)

3bux each, buy a dozen.

I knew I will forgot to mention something important :person_facepalming: , I am not in states so shipping anything from US to EU… you already know the story.
Best soruce would be china, ALI, BG, GB, KD, DX…

Yeah, I looked, but didn’t see any location info, so…

I reviewed the Fenix LD12 (2017 version) here:

Great newbie light. It does have multiple modes, but they’re on a separate side-switch, so you can set it to whatever mode you want and then just use the tail clicky for on/off. Very nice user interface for non-flashaholics. And for the ’holics, it has a nice clean neutral-white LED.

My wife stole it from me right after I got it, and she uses it every day. It’s the only light she actually likes, aside from some BLF-348’s she uses because they’re stashed all over the house. She hates the complex flashaholic user interfaces in most of my other lights.

This, from AE! Don’t know if it’s really XPG2, but contacting the seller will probably help on this

Hope it helps :+1:

I suggest Sofirn SF10.

Not too small, nor too big.
Not single mode, but starts always on high, no mode memory.
Good quality but inexpensive.

Mom approved

I was going to suggest the Sofirn SP10A. I got one for review, it’s a sideswitch only, no tailswitch to complicate things like dual-switch lights.

It’s a longpress to turn it on and then off, but you click the sideswitch to change modes.

If she can handle that, it’s quite a nice light. The beam’s a nice color, it’s rather uncomplicated, and the button is really easy to press (good for arthritic fingers).

Just keep in mind that non-e-switch lights will have a stiffer button.

Yep the SP10A is good too.
Not single mode and has last mode memory, so not as simple to use as the SF10.

Well both lights are 10 bux or less each, so just get one of each for testing :innocent:

The Coast HP1 seems like it would be right up your alley, but geography may be an issue.

I second the coast HP1 although I don’t know what your intended use is. For a small ~$10 light its really useful and good quality in my opinion.

Agree 100%. They are well made. Zoom (tir) also, and it’s very easy go from throw to flood by moving the head straight forward and backward only ~1/2 inch. Tail-stands and has a clip. Tint on mine is pretty good, not dreaded green or cold blue. Available on eBay, amazon UK and amazon Germany among other places. Recommended…

Just got the SP10B. Like, like, like!
