Battery problems with Manker LAD?

The battery on my Manker LAD died after about 10 cycles. Light would light when on cable but not on battery. Binned it.

Anyone else experienced these problems?

I’m a bit pissed off as I like the LAD a lot. Might buy a new one unless this turns out to be a common problem.

Might have just been a disconnected wire, should have opened it up for a look.

Oh ok, it’s my fault, shouldn’t have mentioned it. Hypothesis is false as it worked with cable connected …

…so it was drawing power through the cable.
Battery problem, either dud or disconnected, but we’ll never know Wink

Pity Manker isn’t reacting.

Ordered the Astrolux K1 from Banggood with coupon, so cheap. Will write review when I get it. First impression is that it is too big, but ok. Manker would be preferred if not dying on 10 cycles.

binned(trashed) it without an investigative teardown?
you are not a flashaholic but an appliance user! Silly
next time just plug it in and let it go a few hours.
the charge control chip may have sensed a very low cell and was in pre charge mode.
it may or may not have eventually come back.

thanks but did just that. ‘E’s not pinin’! ‘E’s passed on! This Manker is no more! He has ceased to be! ‘E’s expired and gone to meet ‘is maker!

‘E’s a stiff! Bereft of life, ‘e rests in peace! If I hadn’t nailed ‘im to the chord ‘e’d be pushing up the daisies!
‘Is metabolic processes are now ‘istory! ‘E’s off the twig!
‘E’s kicked the bucket, ‘e’s shuffled off ‘is mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin’ choir invisibile!!

This is a dead Manker!
