Hi everyone. Im new here. I have a Klarust xt11gt. I recently lost my battery that came woth the light. I think it was an klarus 3100mah battery. I was considering buying another battery. However i have 5 Samsung 3000mah 30q spare batteries. They seem to work well! In your opinions is it worth me buying a new Klarus battery or is it fine to use the Samsung 30q? The 30 q seems to be just as bright as the original but the light needs to be closed tightly for connection. Any advice would be great. Thanks.
It’s fine to use 30Q. I’m guessing your 30Q are flat tops that’s why you need to tighten the tail cap more. If it’s a flat top. Should be a bit brighter than the original button top battery.
its not like klarus makes the batteries, they just rewrap them for the flashlight, so a samsung is a better choice if u ask me or any other high current capacity battery.
I thought Klarus 3100mah were vtc6 rewrap? So wouldn’t say 30Q are better. Pretty similar to each other
Thanks for the info everyone. I tested my light with both a 30Q and a protected nitecore 3400mah, i couldnt tell the difference which confuses me a bit because the 30Q should bump the brightness up a little. Maybe it’s me!
It is a boost driver, less voltage sag just give longer runtime
