Questions about nw availability, 1aa vs 2aa

Hello Everyone,

My last fews lights have been NW and now I won't consider anything else. I'm also a big fan of eneloops. Looking through whats available it doesn't seem like the 2aa format is popular with the enthusiast market which also limits NW availability.

This has me wondering if I should move over to mostly 1aa lights. I always liked the idea of using single cell lights and they cover most of my needs. If I needed something more I could always move up to 4aa. However I only edc aaa lights and I feel 2aa is no problem for using around the house and I'm getting a bit more for the money. I currently have a archer 1a and 2a and enjoy them both. I've thought about attaching something to the 1aa so its easier to find.

As I said my preference is NW over battery configuration. I prefer the lsd of eneloops and have not needed the extra lumens from a 18650 however it seems NW is easier to obtain in that format. I also wish there was more of a market for lanterns. I was looking at the streamlight siege and ust duro but they are all cool white.

thanks

There’s the Zanflare F2 if you wanna check out a 2AA model. Last I’ve heard, they offer it in NW.

Sofirn SF13 comes with a 5500K LED. Not sure if youd consider that NW or CW.

Hey how are you doing man? I agree I enjoy the AA format as well, but there is just less choice these days because of lithium ion I guess. So it really surprised me how much attention a 2xAA light got here when Jaxman introduced the M2. Just a wonderful light with great machining and finish. The slightly larger head for more throw makes this light also different from the other 2xAA lights. Nice price too!

Discussion Jaxman M2: hi do you like 2AA battery light? Jaxman M2 is ready

I recently got myself two Nitecore LA10 CRI lights (singel AA); one in blue and one in red. It uses a Nichia 219b 5000K emitter. You can find a discount code here that reduces the price to something like $18. It is just a really wonderful light, mostly for indoor use. Nice diffused neutral white light, and the UI is just simple and straight.

Welcome to BLF!

thanks everyone. I just ordered all of the 2aa lights listed. I'm glad to see there are still others that like the 2aa format.

I love to carry single AA as well and ReyLight Pinneaple is currently my favorite one. It used to be available at Banggood but now I can only find it at Amazon.
