Eagle Eye X6 Cree XPL - HI V21A, is it good?

Newbie here but I’ve loved flashlights for awhile now and have accumulated some. Anyway, I had a few beers under my belt last night and read a review of the Eagle Eye X6 Cree XPL - HI V21A light and couldn’t resist taking the plunge. I was wondering if I’d made a good decision or if it was one of those “head hangers”. Supposed to have a good throw, I guess. Any input would be appreciated. Gotta explain it to the wife, ya know.

Yeah, pretty good throw. The hotspot isn’t quite as tight as a Convoy C8, but the tradeoff is that the C8 has a larger head.

The main annoyance I have with the Eagle Eye X6 is that accidentally double clicking to strobe is too easy. They need to reduce the double click interval. Perhaps they quietly changed the driver already because I got my X6 quite a while ago. But still, it is a good budget flashlight thrower.

The X6 is only bad if you intend to use the X6 at close range where a floody beam is the more useful beam pattern.

Good compact pocket thrower.

Depending on how the Eagle Eye X6 has been updated since the original, there might be better versions like the BLF X6 or Astrolux S1, but the original was a nice flashlight.
